Ill be able to see if I am completing my goals via:

o My daily reflections: Putting my thoughts down on paper will help me evaluate my
own performance to see if I am completing my goals
o Verbal/Written feedback from my TA: Any comments that my TA has about my
performance should help me assess whether I am reaching my goals or not, as well
as the assessment of my teaching that she fills out near the end of my practicum.
o Verbal/Written feedback from the university consultant: The university consultant
will be coming in once a week to observe me teaching and to chat with me, so well
be able to converse about whether I am reaching my goals or not.
o Student Experience: Informally assessing (observing) whether the students had a
good experience with me in their classroom during my practicum will be key in
knowing whether I reached my goals or not.

Action Plan

To reach my goal of building good

relationships with all of the students I
will:
o Be friendly, confident, and
enthusiastic.
o I will try to get one on one time
with the students whenever I can
o I will try to give extra help to the
students who need it
o I will make an effort to get to know
the students and find out their
interests so that they see I care
about them
o I will come prepared to every class
so that students can trust/respect
me
o If there are any issues with a
student I will deal with it privately
with the student or with my TA so
as not to embarrass the student
and create negative feelings
To reach my goal of establishing strong
teacher presence, I will try to:
o Be confident
o To speak in a strong voice
o To be prepared for every classthis entails having lesson plans
or whatever else is needed
prepared and practiced before
class
To reach my goal of having exposure
to various teaching resources, I will:
o Look at the resources that we
learned were available to us in

I hope to start building

relationships/establishing
teacher presence from day 1
and improve in both these
areas every day. This will
entail getting to know the
students right away (learning
their names for starters),
making interactive lesson
plans throughout the whole
practicum, and always
getting to know the students
better- this will allow me to
employ differentiated
teaching if necessary. By the
end of the practicum I hope
to have established great
relationships and strong
teacher presence.

I hope to learn a few new

resources in my first week of
practicum simply by
observing my TA teach. As

the online resources that I
already know of.

To be completed upon the last day of practicum.
