Philosophy of Education
CHILDREN are the leaders of tomorrow. Therefore, I strongly believe children should all be
entitled to a great education. We as teachers, serve a great purpose in students lives. We see them day
by day and we have the potential to encourage them, lead them, and inspire them to be the best they
can be.
Educating a child is, in my opinion, one of lifes greatest gifts. As teachers, we have the
privilege to be surrounded by many different children, and we have a great task in our hands: And that
is to do our best to inspire students to learn and inscribe in them the power of education. I believe that
in order to have children become eager to learn, we should demonstrate the same enthusiasm when we
teach. If students do not see their teacher motivated to teach them a new task, then how can we spread
the love of learning?
Every student is an individual, so every one of the childrens needs should be met in order to
have an equal opportunity at their tasks as students. I will make it my priority to be inclusive of all
students individual needs in order to ensure their highest potential.
I believe every student should feel comfortable with their teacher, and their classmates: Since
the classroom is a place where students spend a lot of their days. In order to achieve this, ones
classroom should have a safe and caring environment where we are open to discussing different things
and feel comfortable sharing our thoughts. Consequently, in order to achieve such environment in my
classroom, I will strive to be a caring, but firm teacher when the time is right, and have a strong but
comprehensive set of rules that students are to follow. One of the most important rules that exist to me
is respect: If one doesnt respect others, it is likely that others will not respect them too. So, one of my
most firm rules to follow in order to comply with my safe and caring environment is respect.
Every student has many talents. As a teacher, it is my job to help these students discover these
talents if they have not already done so, and encourage to make them shine through their work. If a
student is aware of their talents it is easy for them to become confident individuals: and confident
students, means happy students. I strongly believe that in order for one to do our best we have to be
happy, so encouraging happiness in our students is a very important thing.
It is my responsibility to lead these students to be the best they can be. I will make it my goal to
be a role model and not only teach them through words but through actions. I will spread the love of
learning through enthusiasm and emphasize respect for themselves and others in order to have a safe
environment in the classroom. I will also help them find and help their talents grow, and ensure their
happy learning: Because in order to have great future leaders, we must feed them the love of learning
and the power of succeeding.
