Self-reflections (Goal Setting; self-evaluations for curriculum activities; self-evaluations for
Teacher in Charge project) CHDV 210
I know now that self-reflections are an important tool to make sure that as a student teacher I am
doing the best to support childrens development.
Skills: for each of the above artifacts, please list (using bullets) the skills you gained pertaining to this PLO.
Self-reflections (Goal Setting; self-evaluations for curriculum activities; self-evaluations for
Teacher in Charge project) CHDV 210
I can make changes if needed using the critique given to me by my mentee.
I can use the self-reflections to make changes to my activities depending on how the children
respond to each activity.
**Growth: Please list how your knowledge and skills listed above, have grown as a result of your student
teaching experiences.
I have been able to make improvements in my teaching using the self-reflections this includes: the
way I scaffold, projecting my voices, and the way I plan my activities.
**Beliefs: How has completing the above assignments and your student teaching influenced your beliefs
about ethical standards and professional behaviors within the early childhood profession?
The self-reflections have made me believe that in order for me to be the best teacher I can possibly
be I need to be able to make self-improvements by reflecting back to activities I do with the children.
**Future Growth & Next Steps: Think about your future teaching, list three goals to help you improve
upon your existing knowledge and skills and your teaching.
Identify how you will achieve each of these three goals. Be specific. For instance, will you enroll in a
course? If so, what course? Will you read a book? What book?
I will have an attitude in my teaching that there is always room for improvement, therefore, selfreflecting will always be a constant.
