Lets Talk About Premarital Sex

First of all, what is Premarital Sex? Premarital Sex is a sexual activity that involves two
unmarried individuals. The new generations of teenagers today usually had sex before marriage.
This usually happens to boy-girl-relationship in the long time after opening themselves about
the word sex. Do you think theyve made a wise decision in involving themselves in premarital
sex? Others might say, NO, because sex is sacred according to the bible, and others might also
say that YES, virginity is not important nowadays.

Now let us discuss this question: Why do you think Christians are strongly against
Premarital Sex? According to them, God designed SEX to be savored by two individuals who
are committed within the bond of marriage. This makes sex as sacred written in the scriptures.
Sex is not bad. What makes it bad is the loss of patience between couples who are not yet
married. God established the one-flesh relationship when he brought Adam and Eve together
in a marriage. It is also written in the scripture that when a woman and man had sex, they have
become one body (Verse 16 of 1 Corinthians chapter 6). Now, it is very clear that sexual
relationship should only occur within a committed, trusting, loyal and marital union between a
man and woman.

What are the possible causes of Premarital Sex (Fornication)? The following factors are
considered:
1. Pressure
2. Curiosity
3. Electronic media
4. Books and magazines
5. Environmental influence
6. Covetousness
7. Indiscipline
8. Wrong association
9. Ignorance
10. Wrong information
11. Bad parenting
12. Idleness
13. Loneliness

Lets face the fact that premarital sex is one of the social problems in the society. Mentioned
above is pressure which means, an individual is pressured by his/her peers. Lets consider this
example:

Christine is a 19 year old college student of Negros Oriental State University. Most of her
friends talks about their sex experience with Christine. Rona, one of her friends told her,
Christine, why dont you try? Sex is really nice! I promise you that it tastes like heaven
Since shes the only virgin in their group of friends, Christine was pressured since she does not
have any sex experience yet to share with the group. Sometimes she thought of seducing her
boyfriend so that she could also experience the intense pleasure which her friends told her. And
so, one evening he called up her boyfriend to scoot over her house since shes just alone. They
talked and laughed about many things. When the atmosphere became quiet, Christines lips
brushed against the lips of Adrian. Adrian responded the kiss and started undressing Christine.
And so, she carried Christine towards her bedroom and there, they found their unforgettable
moans of pleasure.

See that? Not only it involves peer pressure but also the pressure within the family.
Sometimes, the escape mechanism of teenagers today is to seek comfort with their significant
other. And when the atmosphere gets hotter and quiet, they would try to explore more in the dark
alone by undressing to find what they think where the glory is.

In our world today, technology is never out of date. Teenagers who are curious about sex
usually view some porn videos in the internet which makes them feel craving of what they had
just saw in the internet, books and magazines and their environment.

To end this discussion, there is a question that needs an answer, How can I avoid Premarital
Sex? For the generation today, it is best to think and reflect before you involve in such acts or
else, tears of regrets will follow after pleasure.
