Jennifer Lawrence Press Release

We are excited to announce that on the 20th November leading Oscar-winning actress
Jennifer Lawrence is set to star in the third instalment of the highly awaited Hunger
Games trilogy Mockingjay part 1 directed by Francis Lawrence, known for directing
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2013), I Am legend (2007) and Water For
Elephants (2011). The blockbuster movie is set to be also releasing limited previews
on the 19th November in selected cinemas only.
Jennifer will be playing the character Katniss Everdeen as she did in the first two
films and now with an Oscar under her belt and the first two films creating recordbreaking box office sales she is set to show yet another incredible performance.
Mockingjay is going to show a change in some of the characters, going in to a lot of
depth in to the characters and what has happened since the second film Catching Fire.
In an interview Jennifer Lawrence revealed, "I cried when I read the third script, I
really did, It was heartbreaking." So a lot is to be expected from part one of the
hunger games franchise including some possible tears. The actress brilliantly played
her character Katniss in the two hunger games films previous to this, with her emotive
and powerful performance giving her a huge platform and causing her to be one of the
most popular and most wanted actresses in Hollywood of current times. Co-stars Josh
Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson are just some of the incredible
actors to join Lawrence on-screen creating a performance that clearly has fans on the
edge of their seats for the next in the franchise; Mockingjay.
Lawrence has now set up a massive fan base as a result of her outstanding
performances in some of the biggest selling movies including Winters Bone (2010),
Silver Linings Playbook (2012), American Hustle (2013) and X-Men (2014), earning
her two Oscar nominations and one win for best performance by an actress in a
leading role.
