Visual Analysis

Equipment

Engineering notebook
Digital camera
Automoblox vehicle

Procedure
Perform a visual analysis of the Automoblox vehicle using the following procedure:
a. In your engineering notebook, identify the product and the manufacturer.
b. Using a digital camera, take at least three pictures of the product from different
angles.
c. Print out the images on a color or laser printer, and neatly secure them in your
engineering notebook.
d. Create a caption under each image that identifies the particular view front view,
right side view, isometric view, etc.
e. Next to each image, write a description of the visual design principles and elements
that are evident from that particular view.

Front View
From these views we can see that the wind turbine is a tall and towering product. Its turbines are
made with somewhat diagonal lines and the shape is rather mechanical. It has a white or silvery
color, and high value, with high reflectance. There is open space at all times between the blades,
and the tower takes up little space as well. It has a very smooth, metallic texture. The turbines
have a radial balance and a circular pattern, but the rest of the turbine is a symmetrical balance.
The turbines themselves usually draw emphasis to the blades, because of the way they are
designed. However there is still little to no contrast between the various parts of the blades.
Wind turbines are similar in proportion to prop up electrical fans, minus the cage that protects
the fan. In fact you could even go as far to say that wind turbines are just a scaled up version of
a standing fan. Wind turbines have an economy with the fact that there is little contrast and
thought to the overall design, and very easy to comprehend. It is a simple, yet effective design
for an effective piece of machinery.
