The letters that are over the faces creates

the sense of unknowing because it helps to
disguise them even more, almost so much
so that you cant make out the detail of their
masks, especially for the poster with the
letter G.

Having 5 posters for the film helps to create

a buzz for the audience because it is the
audience who must put them together so that
it spells out the title of the film and this links
to the tagline united we purge as these
posters are different characters linked
together but the word purge.

The red capitalised letters makes the
name of the movie stand out, as well as
symbolising danger and perhaps blood,
almost as a warning to the viewers.

Media
The masks that are on the peoples faces
create a feeling of unease because you cant
see their faces and their expressions which
help the audience to relate to them as human
beings.

The posters are mainly black and white, with

the elements of the different masks and
makeup lit up. Because its black and white it
creates a sense of eeriness; the lack of
colour helps to create the sinister tone.

Because there is one masked person for

every letter of the films name, it shows the
audience that there is more than one villain,
which intensifies the sinister tone of the
movie. It can also show that its a different
type of horror; a dystopian sub-genre off of
horror.
