This plan could easily be extended to the middle school as any of the technology tools presented
would work well with grades 5-8. A second presenter would be necessary as the professional
development sessions would be going on simultaneously as they are scheduled now and it would
not work as well to have one large group. Formative assessment professional development could
be extended to the grade schools as well, but the presentation would need to contain some
different tools as not all of the tools presented in the original plan would be effective at the grade
school level especially in the lower elementary grades.
While this plan is presented building wide, it is designed to be implemented in individual
classrooms and one of the focus areas is collaboration and prep to allow teachers to be able to
implement the tools presented in their own classroom and to have support of fellow teachers in
evaluating both successes and aspects that didnt go as planned.
