I have the knowledge to know how to redirect a child.
I have the knowledge to know that it is sometimes necessary to use a combination of guidance
strategies.

I have the knowledge on how to talk to a child and work out the problem.
I have the knowledge on how to let the children talk to each other and work it out.
I have the knowledge on how to fix the issue with a conflict.

I have the skills to know how to use time in not as a punishment by as a time to calm down.
I have the skills to know how to use the I-message redirection.
I have the skills to know that I have to be a great example in front of the children.

I have the skills to know how to a situation and wait on the children to respond before I do.
I have the skills to know how not to belittle the child.

I have grown by knowing when I am supposed to step in a conflict or let the children try to work
it by themselves.
I have grown by knowing to use the I-Messages in a proper way so that the child feels confident.
I have grown by knowing how to use a situation into a lesson for all the children to learn from it.

**Beliefs: How has completing the above assignments and your student teaching influenced your beliefs about
what constitutes appropriate guidance strategies and promoting the positive social emotional growth of
children?

I believe that children should have the opportunity to try and work out their differences between
each other.
I believe in redirecting a child in matter so that where they feel like they are not being punished.
I believe by turning a situation in a lesson all the children can learn not to hit or even how to help
out each other when they are having a problem.
