from observation, using pencil
showing use of Line, Tone and
Form.
Why?
To give a baseline assessment
of current key skills in Art &
Design working independently.

Intro: Discuss stages of how


to approach a drawing using
key words
Show outcomes of what is
expected and how students
can get there.
Main Task:
Students independently draw
a shoe in test conditions
without help from the
teacher to ensure they
demonstrate prior learning
and knowledge. Each students
should demonstrate
Line/tone/form
Plenary:
Students place their work
according to the level they
believe it to be based on
discussion at the start.
