Whilst looking into the incomes and outputs of an average Balkan family, this project tries to provide high quality and spacious dwellings into a pay range what might
be considered affordable to this type of family. This was
achieved by tackling the problem in different ways. First
the building was made as compact as possible, lowering
the cost of construction as well as the cost of maintaining it. Secondly, by analyzing the lifespan of a family, the
project gives all the flexibility the family needs in order
to expand and/or divide the unit into multiple apartments. This gives the building a long-lasting life and a
sense of community. The final project meant that the
families now could own the same sized housing unit with
55% of the original price.

Being active in modern day society is much more than
just an activity you do purely for pleasure, it is a necessity. Living an urban life, often means that we are
not as much in touch with nature as we could have liked
to. There are no more spontaneous occasions of having activities in nature, in fact they have become quite
important events in our lives. Pristina has a high rate of
greenery in the city, but in fact, the outcome is affected
because most of this greenery is densely concentrated
in the Germia national park. Regardless, not so many
people use Germias nature for recreational and sportive reasons. Through regulatory plans, the entrance part
of Germia is set to be dedicated for sport buildings, but
why have a homogenous building, when we could have a
whole complex which all group ages, and all thee citizens
can use.

Office buildings are often oriented towards dull, cubicle-driven companies. This often leads to a dreary
working experience for the employees, but also to an
imposed structure for the pedestrians and residents of
the area.
This project was supposed to be an office incubator for
a generic company, whilst destroying a bazaar that currently occupies the site. Instead of destroying the century old bazaar, the project provides new facilities and
stands for the current owners, at the same time adding
a whole floor underground for the same function. The
upper floors are then available for a different company,
making sure that the bazaar continues to function just
as the residents have gotten used to.
The building also has a watchtower attached, that doubles as a landmark for the city. The watchtower is a
homage to the century-old tower on the other side of
the neighborhood.

The Lakeview Hotel is set to have around 150 rooms,
with the big luxury apartments taking in the southern-side sun. The whole complex of the hotel is mainly
destined for visitors, with the swimming pools, various
restaurants and the golf park. However it also provides
unique views for each of the individual rooms.

The idea is to lower the congestion of the city, and make
it available for people to park their cars in the city center, so that they can continue walking through the city.
The groundfloor doubles as a shopping mall, making the
area active throughout the year.
The architecture of the garage is a reference to the
brutalist buildings, built in the 70s that no longer exist.

The house was designed for a family that like to host
parties, and are usually doing so. This meant that they
needed a big front yard that can be connected to the
main living area. The terrace above the living room, can
also function like a barbeque area where the smoke
wouldnt be a trouble for the guests below.

While the main streets of the city are lively and full of
movement, the connection between the historical monuments is achieved through the revitalization of the
spaces surrounding them, in such a way that it becomes
attractive to people.
The concept Walking with colours serves as a guide
that knows the way and leads us towards these monuments and the spaces around them. It also serves as
a map for foreign visitors who want to visit the monuments and at the same time reminds the residents that
if they follow the path, they will find a lovely space full
of colour and liveliness, centered around these objects
that have a great value for the city of Vushtrri.
This Project was the winner of the third price in the Vushtrri Competition
organized by CHWB in 2013

by the municipality. It combines three types of schools,
that of applied arts, dancing and music school. All of
the different departments are separated while at the
same time connected via common areas. The building

The container home was designed for a British based
company CoreGroup that wanted to recycle a shipping
container. The project is set to have a living area that
is directly connected to the patio in the front, with the
kitchen set in the corner. The container can accommodate up to four people therefore it has only two bedrooms. The bathroom is connected to the boiler and the
water installations that can also be accessed from the
outside.
The whole container can be closed with the sliding doors,
becoming so entirely closed and safe from burglars and
weather.

by shops and illegal buildings. The project proposes to
build a modern version of the old bezistans, by which

The site is a public space that has been neglected ever
since its original construction in the 70s. Even the original design makes the whole space lack a certain identity, and this often leads to the residents feeling as if they
dont belong, and they lose sense of community.
The proposed project gives a lot of effort to provide a
strong and clear identity to the neighborhood. His has
been tried via the red light poles that double as a ventilation system for the road beneath. The space is set
to be used only by pedestrians and cyclist, with a few
coffee shops in various places. Trees had to be planted above beams and columns, in order to add to the
greenery, since it is lacking in this aspect as it is now.

Fasada e objektit sht menduar t jet g jysm strukturale nga alumini, e mveshur nga jasht me rrjet eliku.
Kjo rrjet e krijuar nga ky grshetim i elementeve strukturore nga eliku ka pr qllim jo vetm aspektin arkitektonik t prezentimit t karakterit publik t kompleksit, por
edhe pengimin e ndriimit t teprt, i cili ndikon n mikroklimn e brendshme n objekte.
Konstruksioni
Kompleksi n trsi sht menduar t realizohet me konstruksion nga betoni i armuar duke prdorur elementet
konstruktive nga betonarmeja (traje dhe shtylla). Konstruksioni i etazhs s katrt n trsi sht i realizuar
nga shtyllat dhe trajet e elikut.

This project is a workstation that needed special attention in design, because the user was set to be Arijon, a
twelve year old boy that had been born without arms.
With the help of some British investors, the workstation
has already been built and is currently being used by
Arijon.
