Subject: Assessment of Training and Development Program (altis`excelHR)
Date: July 31, 2011
I have attached the formal report of the altis`excelHR 5-day plan that was implemented on April 2nd, 2011.
The report includes participant registration levels, revenue distribution, variable and fixed expenses, course
curriculum design, and post-evaluations of the plan.
Although the program has been implemented and was a huge success, the financial position we were put in
after is a concern. The costs included with implementing the course was very high which resulted in a lower
profit margin. Going forward, Mistica Management Development should consider lowering expenses and
possible raising the price for the program. A detailed recommendation is included in this report to give ideas
to Mistica Management Development in order to create a bigger profit margin.
We have also received feedback from altis`excelHR and from our support staff who worked closely with the
participants. We have incorporated this feedback into our recommendation and welcome you to add your
own comments on this. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you need any further information.
I may be reached at (416) 765 3028 and by email at <Ernest@MMD.ca> . I look forward to discussing the
report recommendations and your comments.

Executive Summary
An evaluation of how we do business at Mistica Managerial Development has led to this formal report of our
altis`excelHR project on April 2nd, 2011. The purposes of this report are to:
1. Evaluate our labor supply and model to accommodate more participants.
2. Recommend modifications to our current expense models to ensure greater profit margins
Mistica Managerial Development made the 5-day Training and Development plan that gives team leaders of
companies the skills and abilities to effectively lead a team in 2008. After realizing that many companies
had huge turnover numbers that were effecting company performance and employee motivation, Mistica
Managerial Development created this program to empower the employees at companies that they could be
more engaged in their respective companies.
By evaluating the participation registration levels, revenue distribution, expense report, course curriculum
design and post-evaluation, we came up with the following recommendation:
1. Increase labour supply in order to accommodate more than 40 participants.
2. Increase price per participant for companies to better account for food and technology costs
3. Cut costs for logistic operations. Cheaper food solutions, cut travel costs, work on-site.
4. More effective course curriculum to cut costs.
Introduction
Mistica Management Development was created on June 31st, 2005 with the hope to build
human potential within companies. With the use of orientations, presentations, workshops
combined with on-going and one-on-one support, we have developed an effective system on
training and developing team leaders within organizations. The participants in the
program learn to effectively run a team using the skills and abilities that they learn in the
workshops.

Mistica Managerial Development received $1160 in revenue from the altisexcelHR project. From this net
revenue, a bonus to employees was given at $25 per person. This incentive was placed at Mistica Managerial
Development to satisfy and motivate employees as well as reduce turnover. However, when this cost is
deducted the real net revenue from the project is now $960. The remaining amount was considered profit
and will be used for budgets for future projects.

Expense Report
At Mistica Managerial Development, we try and give our clients the most engaging experience in order for
them to grow professionally. We offer food services to keep participants in the same closed environment and
to encourage them to mingle with each other during breaks. Technology is an important part of Mistica
Managerial Development, as we try and use the most up-to-date technology in order to keep up with a
workforce that requires modern technology to keep fully engaged. We have included a list of all the expenses
related with the project.

20%
40%
30%
The costs for food for the 5-day program proved to be 40% of the total costs at $400. Because there was a
maximum capacity, the cost per participant for food was $10 per day. Although this is a reasonable amount,
given our budgets for the program the food cost proved very high. By dividing $400 by the 5 days, it results
in an $80 per day budget. Unless we find a better deal to feed 40 people, we should consider cutting the food
supply. It will save $400 in expenses and allow people to go out into their environment and spend money on
food that they might like better.
The technology costs were also expensive. Since Mistica Management provides all the technology for all
projects, our inventory is full of industry standard technology that allows us to fully utilize modern projects.
Our projects utilize the use of:
- Laptops (Dell Precision M4500 Mobile Workstation) and Projectors
- Sound Systems (PAs, Microphones)
- Camera Equipment (Video-cameras for marketing purposes)
The top-of-the-line technology allows Mistica Management Development to retain a competitive advantage
by allowing us to give top quality projects using modern technology to engage and inform our clients. For
this project we did not spend extra money to buy new technology as it was all on-hand.

Post-Evaluation
After we had finished the project at altis`excelHR, Mistica Management Development went back a month
later to administer an Employee View Survey. All participants filled out a survey before and after the plan
and the change in answers showed a considerable increase in motivation and employee engagement.
Attached in the Appendix is a sample of the survey. In this section, the results will be aggregated into
graphical information.

Axis Title
As seen in the results, a high satisfaction rate is shown for questions 1, 4, and especially 3. The participants
feel that their Mistica Management Development experience was organized, motivational, and enjoyable. A
concern that is noticeable is the 10 people unsatisfied with the relevance of the content to their jobs. When
developing a course curriculum, Mistica Management Development tries and include general team leading
roles and some specific example of how participants can apply knowledge to their knowledge. Going forward,
we may need to provide more relevance for these participants and engage them further. Otherwise, with
such a high number of responses claiming they strongly agree with each question this proves our clients are
receiving quality results from our services.
13
Conclusion
Based on the results of the study, we have reasonable amount of data to suggest that the project was a
success. Altis`excelHR received a significant increase in employee engagement and motivation after the plan
was administered, and executives reported of having record contracts that month for clients of theirs who
needed staffing solutions.
As shown in the Revenue Distribution section, net revenue of $960 was made. A gross profit of $6000 was
achieved with maximum capacity for participants while a cost of $5040 were the deductions stated. Going
forward, plans to change our financial strategy when dealing with logistics may be followed.
The course curriculum was evaluated and seen to be effective. The detailed information in the breakdown is
sufficient to efficiently give our clients the best service that they deserve. The plan is also an action packed
week that keeps our clients engaged for 5-days.
The information we received during the post-evaluation was valuable in receiving feedback from our
participants. We value feedback at Mistica Management Development and took the responses with respect
and confidentiality. We transformed the raw data into an interpretive plan for ourselves to further develop
ourselves. We hope that the plan of improving relevance for employees and making more on-site, real life
situations since participants did not feel strongly that the content of the plan was relevant to their jobs.
14
Recommendations
Based on the information that we have found, we would recommend the following solutions.
Financial
1. Increase plan capacity size for participants to past 40. To achieve this, we will need to allocate more
support staff to handle the increased amount of participants. This increase in participation
registration levels will allow greater revenue generation. Revenue should be allocated to hiring more
staff to accommodate more participants in order to increase client satisfaction as well.
2. Cut down food costs or cut the food program entirely. This will save up to $400 that can be allocated
to other resources or saved for a future project.
3. Increase the price to register. The cost of $150 per person is a small profit margin for the company
considering the lunch provided is about of the total cost. Either the price to register has to go up in
order to counter costs, or a cheaper lunch alternative must be made.
Course Curriculum
1. The current course curriculum is time-effective and cost efficient. This plan should stay in place to
continue Mistica Managerial Recommendations logistical excellence.
Mistica Managerial Recommendations will not only increase revenues on many areas, but also increase
client satisfaction. We are doing well in many areas but increasing participation levels will increasing our
already excellent organized.
