Dr. BYU Professor,
I find the discussions about morality, ethics, metaphysics, and religion to be intriguing. I was enrolled in your
Psychology class this past Fall Semester and was excited to participate in such discussions. I am hoping to be
your Teachers Assistant for this next Winter Semester. The philosophies covered in your class are ones that I
want to remember for the rest of my life. Being a TA in your class would provide me with the opportunity to
constantly refresh and clarify my understanding of these topics as I help future students.
For the past year, I have worked as a Research Assistant for Dr. XXX. He has tasked me with multiple
miscellaneous and ongoing projects. I have read and summarized lengthy books in short periods of time. In your
class, students are assigned difficult chapters to read and hopefully understand well enough to complete quizzes.
My experience in fast and effective reading will enable me to review the chapters so as to better assist your
students.
In my time as a Nanny, I have learned to have flexible hours, to maintain a cheerful attitude, and to work
closely with others. Organizing my schedule allow for short-notice meetings with students would come easily to
me. Also, while working for 11 hours per day as a Nanny, I learned to keep a consistent positive attitude.
Adapting my communication techniques to accommodate non-verbal children has increased my ability to
personalize my conversation styles. Thus I would be able to clearly answer question from any student in your
class.
Thank you for your time. If you would like me to expound on my qualifications or meet for an interview, please
contact me at (555) 555-5555 or at myemail@email.com. I hope to meet with you soon.
Sincerely,
Krista Morgan Tingey
