The Vatican has refused to relax church rules on the reception of Communion by
divorced Catholics who remarry under civil law.If a married couple were to get divorced, under
the Catholic teaching, they are not allowed to receive communion. If a married couple were to
get remarried by law and not in the Church still the married couple is not able to receive
communion. However, if a married couple were to get a divorced and then plead for an
annulment, a church declaration stating that their first marriage was invalid are still barred from
receivingcommunion. Approximately 6 million Catholics in the United States, and several
million more in Europe, are estimated to have remarried without an annulment, creating a
pastoral challenge. People often refuse to take the annulment process. Some say that they find it
to demanding and others say that they it is to disingenuous because they are asked to claim that
their first marriage was invalid.
The teaching of the Catholic Church is that both spouses must get married together under the law
of the Catholic Church. If the couple got married under the Catholic Church then they are
allowed to receive communion. However if a couple were to get a divorce through the law and
were married through the church, they no longer can receive communion under certain
circumstances. A couple must plead for an annulment enable for the marriage to be considered a
divorce through the Catholic Church. I would use the following statement in my senior project
by stating that without an annulment, the Catholics Church view of the married couple is still
married and they cannot receive communion under certain circumstances.

"When a marriage is shattered beyond repair, it is sometimes better that it be dissolved than that
the family continue to live in bitterness". When a married couple is going through a divorce, the
beginning of the process can be very painful. Some couples need to adjust their selfs for the
sake of their children and themselves. If a marriage is going under the gutter and is not healthy
the best decision is to get out of it.
I would use the following statement above to show that divorce can have many side effects to a
person. I would argue that a divorce can cause a person to either become psycho or more violent.

A divorce not only affects the couple but the children if the couple may have any. The actions or
verbal actions or nay circumstances that the parents are going through may rub off of the
children.

The U.S. divorce rate was 4.6 percent last year. Those marriages ending in divorce lasted little
less than eight years after first and second divorces. Time following a divorce until remarriage
averages about three years. There are many people in the world that get divorces. But only some
actually follow the Catholic ways. The process of a divorce is not simple it is complicated. You
have to go through financial stuff that involves both couples. Also you have to deal with
numerous feelings. The other important thing to remember if anyone was going through a
divorce is, if the couple has children, the interest in the children comes first.
I would use the following paragraph above in my senior project by stating that there are not just a
few divorces in the world but many. There are a lot more divorces occurring each and every
year. Many people experience more complicated divorces then other couples. Some couples who
are Catholic do not know the law behind divorces. The Catholic Church is very helpful and can
help guide you through a divorce or offer marriage counseling.

God wanted man to find his soul mate to accompany him and become one flesh. God has given
man and woman goals to accomplish together. God did not intend man to be alone" Gen 2:18
"therefore created from him a helpmate and one who has flash of his flesh" Gen 2:19-25. God
from the beginning planned for man and women to get married.
I will use the following to state to clarify that marriage was intended from the beginning. I will
support that God made man and women to become united into one flesh. In the other hand he did
not intend for divorce to occur within a marriage. God wanted both man and women to become
one and be fruitful and love one another.

Family plays a huge role in the Catholic Church. God has a purpose for each family who is
united into one. "Christians call the family the domestic church". It forms a community of faith

and the love of the human family is an image of the communion of the father, son and Holy
Spirit in the holy Trinity." "The most fundamental unit of human society is family"
I would use the following statement above to prove that family is just not a Catholics vision but a
societies. No matter what type religion family is a goal to meet. A healthy family is a goal for
every family. However some may not end that way. However I will support that a family in
every religion contains faith and love for each other.

Armenio, Rev.Peter. Marriage. Our Moral Life in Christ. 2008. October 16, 2016

Marriage has been known since Way back then. Both men and women seek to get married and
have a family. "It is necessary for both husband and wife to recognize that each is gifted by God
to make complimentary contributions to the marriage". "Husband and wife should love each
other mutually". The husband should love his wife as himself and vice versa.
I would use the following statements above to prove that a marriage is supposed to be healthy. I
would support the statement by clarifying more that both spouses should love one another as
they love themselves. A marriage is one and there should not be one spouses doing all the work.

As long as the divorce couple does not live in sin they are able to receive communion. As long
as a divorced person does not attempt a subsequent marriage and it's free of serious sin he or she
is free to participate fully in the life of the church". A newly divorced couple may not jump right
into
I would use the following paragraph to discuss how a newly divorced Catholic couple should
live when they seek to get a divorce. I support that once the couple is separated they are still able
to receive communion if they aren't living or seeing someone else. If a spouse is seeing someone
or living under the same roof as another person they are talking to, they aren't allowed to receive
communion because they are living in sin.

A priest is very helpful in a marriage. When a married couple is going through a difficult time,
the priest can guide them in the right direction. A priest can offer a Catholic marriage counseling
to help the couple. A priest is also helpful if a couple is going through a divorce. He can help
guide them in the right way to plead for an annulment.
I would use the following statement in my senior project to clarify that going through a divorce
or having trouble in a marriage does not mean the Catholic Church does not accept you. The
Catholic Church offers many marriage counseling to help married couples get back to where
Christ wants them to be. Even if a married couple were to get in a divorce the Church will offer
help.
