Macbeth Questions #9

1. In my opinion I believe that Macbeth is fair, and I believe that the Norwegian
invaders, the Irish invaders, and the witches as foul. . I believe that Macbeth
is the fair one because all he is trying to do is save his land from the foul, not
letting invaders to take him and his land over, and is a fighter for the good
not evil. The Norwegian invaders are foul because they try to attack Macbeth
when he and his army are weak. The Norwegian leader, the thane of Cawdor,
is a warmonger. He knew that Macbeth and his army had just finished the
war with the Irish and had won, the thane of Cawdor still decided to attack
him and his men, the Norwegians lost the battle against Macbeth and his
army. The Irish invaders are also foul because of their leader Macdonwald.
Macdonwald is a rebel and a warmonger, just like the Norwegian leader, and
all he and the Irish want to do is destroy Macbeth and his land. The witches
are foul because they always seem like they have something evil up their
sleeves. They cause bad things to happen and seem like they are brewing up
something evil in the view of Macbeth.
2. Banquo is different from Macbeth because he is more naive than Macbeth. In
Scene 3, Banquo says to Macbeth, "Good sir, why do you start and seem to
fear things that do sound so fair?" I feel that Banquo is asking why Macbeth is
a lot insulted and afraid of the witches being and saying nice things about
him. Macbeth is somewhat aware of the fact that the three women that are
standing in front of them are witches, but Banquo seems to have no idea.
When Banquo starts to talk to Macbeth about what just happened with the
witches he comes off as relaxed compared to Macbeth. Banquo jokes about it
and almost acts as if it wasnt real. Into the air; and what seemd corporal
melted as breath into the wind. Would they had stayd. Said Macbeth
wondering why the witches left so fast, now him and Banquo are left in
constant wonder.
3. I do believe that Macbeth did have other motives for arriving at Inverness
before Duncan. Macbeth is now turning foul just like the witches wanted.
They planted horrible ideas in Macbeths head to kill King Duncan. At the end
of scene 4 Macbeth says, Stars, hide your fires; Let not light see my black and
deep desires." Shows everyone that Macbeth is turning foul and did have
other intentions for arriving early to the Inverness before Duncan.
4. My opinion on Lady Macbeth is that she is evil and foul just like the witches.
She is fake, sneaky, and cunning, she tells Macbeth that he could potentially
ruin everything and that he needs to act more like an innocent flower but
also have a sneaky snake lingering at the core to strike when the time is right.
Lady Macbeth wants King Duncan dead that day and does not want him to
see the sun rise tomorrow. She says, O, never shall sun that morrow see!"
implying that he isnt going to be able to leave because he will be lifeless by
the time the sun rises the next day.

5. Lady Macbeth is very cruel. She likes to start arguments with Macbeth; she
calls him names and says that he is a coward because he didnt go through
with killing King Duncan like she wanted. She threatens him and says that if
he continues to act the way he has been, in her eyes like a coward, and then
she is going to think of his love for her the same way. Lady Macbeth is a very
evil and foul lady; she said that she would smash a babys brains out. To me
her comment was the cruelest remark that she could have ever said. Im
disappointed in Macbeth because he let his wife convince him to go along
with the plan of killing the man who had so much trust in him; King Duncan. I
never though that Macbeth would do it, and be convinced to kill the King and
go down the path of evil. Macbeth had big fears of the plan failing and that he
would be caught and everyone would know that he took part in killing the
King. Lady Macbeth is only there for Macbeth when he is feeling unsure of
killing the King. She talks to him and makes sure that he feels okay about it,
when inside he is feeling guilty because he knows that the king trusts him
and what he is about to do is wrong. Although Lady Macbeth re-assures him
and says that the blame will be put upon the two servants that came with the
King she doesnt really care about how Macbeth is really feeling she just
wants the King dead because then shell get her way and be happy. When
Macbeth said he didnt want to do it at the last minute his wife got really mad.
But she again re-assured him with fake feelings and said that the plan is solid
and everything will work out perfectly and they would not be blamed for
killing King Duncan.
