It is a pleasure to write a letter of reference for Wyatt Koch. Mr. Koch had his
Professional Semester lll practicum assignment at St. Mary's School, in the fall of 2014.
I had the privilege of team teaching Physical Education 7 with Mr. Koch. We taught
soccer, ultimate, basketball, fitness and floor hockey units, to a combined class of up to
50 students. I had direct responsibility for 20 of these students and Mr. Koch had direct
responsibility for 30, but we generally combined the classes.

As a Physical Education major, Mr. Koch was quick to offer to lead and plan most of the
activities and was willing to take any input and suggestions I offered. As an
administrator, I always look to see that all students are active and engaged in the gym.
The activities that Mr. Koch planned did not disappoint. Although all students were new
to the school, he quickly developed routines and a rapport with the students that
resulted in the students respecting and wanting to please him. Students were always
excited to be involved and yet behavior was well managed and in control.
Mr. Koch was effective and efficient in evaluation of students, and was willing to help
me with evaluation of my students. This was appreciated.

As a student teacher, Mr. Koch was also involved in students outside of class. He was
willing to supervise students in the gym before school and volunteered as a coach in our
volleyball program. He understands the importance of developing relationships with his
students.
In conclusion, Mr. Koch has had a very successful PS lll practicum at St. Mary's School,
and specifically as my team teaching partner in Physical Education 7. He will be missed
by the students and staff. He has the skills necessary to make him a very successful
addition to our profession.
