Mark,
I was reviewing the agenda items for the interim community college
committee for Monday; are you or your team members attending? It seems
they are discussing one or more of your strategy memos. See link below:

RE: BMW STEM strategy memos (BACKGROUND ONLY)
Thats
strange.
This
steals
our
language
but
dumbs
down
our
proposal,
which
reserved
these
for
4-yr,
2-yr
or
sector
councils
weve
barely
shared.
Nobody
invited
us!
Looking
at
the
committee
list
Im
thinking
Frank
Woodbeck
must
have
put
it
on
the
agenda,
with
a
CC
tilt.
He
was
at
the
STEM
advisory
group
briefing
and
I
think
I
shared
this
with
Perea
of
DETR,
given
the
workforce
play.
Theyve
turned
it
into
a
CC-only
play
when
it
should
be
open
to
4-yr,
2-yr
and
sector
councils.
The
move
is
for
friends
on
the
committee
to
broaden
it
as
is
the
intent?
Magdalena,
are
you
working
with
the
committee?
Are
you
guys
close
to
Kirkpatrick?
Thanks
for
the
update.

It does seem strange. Isn't this part of Brookings intellectual property? If
you would like to write a statement I will be at the meeting on Monday and
can read it during public comments.

Yeah
let
me
think
about
it.
Its
pretty
clear
that
this
went
from
DETR
to
Woodbeck
and
they
revised
it
a
little
while
just
using
the
language.
