Objectives
At the end of the module, the participants are expected to:
1. Know the concepts and definitions in the Household Profile Questionnaire (HPQ) and
and Barangay Profile Questionnaire (BPQ).
2. Learn how to properly accomplish household and barangay profile questionnaires using
Android gadgets
3. Learn how to recognize inconsistent entries, evaluate and field-edit answers
Participants
Day 1: LGU Monitors/Technical Working Group members of the LGU
Qualifications to be involved in Data Collection:
1. A regular staff of the LGU for the duration of the project
2. Computer literate
3. Capable to assist/supervise enumerators in the duration of data collection
4. At least two or three staff who will handle the database of the CBMS
Days 2-5: LGU Monitors, Field Coordinators, Field Editors, Enumerators
Qualifications of Field Coordinators, Field Editors, Enumerators
1. A regular staff of the LGU for the duration of the data collection
2. High school graduate
3. Computer literate

1. Forging of Memorandum of Agreement among CBMS International Network
Coordinating Team, Department of the Interior and Local Government- Bureau of Local
Government Development (DILG-BLGD), DILG Region and the Local Government Unit

B. CBMS PORTAL
The CBMS PORTAL, a web-based platform, will house and manage the
database. The Portal also acts as an offsite backup LGU data as well as
gateway through which LGUs can access their datasets. It also features
multi-level access to different users according to their needs and roles.

CBMS SCAN
The questionnaire is set inside CBMS SCAN. Using tablets, the CBMS
software dubbed as CBMS SCAN will fast-track data collection and
processing by encoding data while interviewing household respondents.
Location of households will also be taken at the same time by getting the
GPS data using Android tablets. It also features security measures to
maintain confidentiality of information while facilitating census
management.
