Philosophy
My role as a teacher is to create a classroom based on a student-centered learning community
where students feel welcomed, safe, and engaged to collaborate and share. I believe in data-driven
instruction, conceptual learning, and culturally responsive teaching. I believe that students can take
ownership of their learning and that all students can succeed.

Teaching Experience
Final Internship

Attending PLC and faculty meetings, classroom management, team co-planning, taking the lead on
content area instruction, differentiating instruction, eliciting student ideas to guide instruction, data
based instruction, lesson planning, lesson reflections, RTI groups, data collection, and constant parent
communication.

Level I-II Internship

August 2013-June 2014

Created a classroom community, lead social studies instruction, small group writing instruction, RTI
groups, differentiating instruction, video recording to help guide instruction, lesson planning and
lesson reflection.

Hillsborough County Trained Substitute Teacher

August 2014-May 2015

Through classroom management had full responsibility of students, implementation of lesson plan,
and dismissal responsibilities.
