Work Experience:
I.

Seagoing Marine Engineer

I Served on board various types of merchant ships as marine engineer, mainly general
cargo, container and RoRo vessels from Nov. 1979 until April 1995, started as an
engineering cadet; I occupied all ranks up to chief engineer position, the head of
engineering department on board the vessel.
Working on board various types of ships exposed me to almost all types of machinery, the
design, the installations, the running, and the maintenance of these machineries.

Shore based Ship Management

-Technical Superintendent

Petra Navigation Co.

In May 1995, I was seconded from the fleet to the fleet department as Technical
Superintendent Engineer responsible for the operation & maintenance of the company
vessels, including vessels inspection for purchasing.
Petra Navigation Co. was one of the top shipping companies in Jordan, their fleet consists
of RoRo Passenger ships, Container ships, General cargo ships and High Speed Crafts.
Working for Petra Navigation exposed me to specified shipping management matters
related to technical ship management, claims, personnel, selling and buying ships.

In May 1998, I joined the fleet department of the Arab Ship Management Ltd. as
Technical Superintendent Engineer for technical planning, operation & maintenance of the
company managed vessels.
Arab Ship Management Ltd. established in 1996, joined venture between Petra Navigation
Group and Jordan National Shipping Line, specialized in ship management activities of
both company's ships and other non owners shipping companies.
Arab Ship Management Ltd.( ASM) is the first privet company specialized in ship
management works established in the Middle East and still.

- Technical Manager

In Jan.1999, I was selected to be in charge of the Technical Department of the ASM. for
technical planning, operation and maintenance of the company managed vessels.
- Fleet Manager
Arab Ship Management Ltd.( ASM)
In March 2001, I became in charge of the ASM. Fleet Department.
The Arab Ship Management Ltd. where I am the Fleet Manager conducts its activities
according to the provisions of the ISM code, IMO resolutions A741 (18) and the
requirements of ISO 9001:2000.
The Fleet Manager and Technical Superintendents play a role in the establishment and
implementation and maintenance of the Quality & Safety Management System of the
Company.

- Deputy General Manager

In April 2008, I was recommended by the Board of Directors to occupy the position of
Deputy of the General Manager.
Working in this position enhanced my managerial talent.
- Lecturer, participating in training and presentation of IMO model courses in marine
safety on board ships to the trainees and marine officers and engineers in Jordan Academy
for Maritime Studies Jordan.
- Ships conversion and new buildings, participating in full and partial time supervision
with vessels conversions and new building.

-General Manager

In May 2010, as recommended by the Board of Directors to occupy the position of the
General Manager of Arab Ship Management Ltd.
During this time ASM used to manage around 22 ships of various size and types;
