    Post-vacation warm-up for MS level Spanish class, first day back after Dec vacation. Directions: Individually, students guess how many classmates did the listed activities during vacation & write their guess in the Mi Adivinanza column. Then, as a class, teacher or student asks each question, students raise hands, class counts how many did the activity, then write the actual answer under the En Realidad column. Next, students calculate the difference between their guess and the actual number and write the # in the Diferencia column. Lastly, students total the numbers in the Diferencia column and write their final # in the TOTAL box. The student with the LOWEST # is the class winner. (like game of golf, you want the lowest score) You could do this as a digital survey or back channel but I prefer to have the students talking and reading after the first day back to wake up their Spanish brain. Also, good way to introduce or review preterite.
