Gordon Korman was born on October

23, 1963 (50). He wrote his first book

manuscript when he was in seventh
grade, which was published when he
was a freshman in high school.
Korman has a BFA degree from New
York University, where he majored in
Dramatic Writing, with a minor in
Film and TV. He now lives in Long
Island, New York, with his wife and
three kids.
Korman has written over 80 books for
teens and children, including Schooled,
The Swindle series (in which has been
created into a Nickelodeon original
movie), Dont Care High, This Cant Be
Happening at Macdonald Hall, A
Semester in the Life of a Garbage Bag,
and many others. More than 25
million copies of his books have
printed, and they have been translated
into almost 30 languages.
