Adapted for the stage by Rick Elice, Peter and the Starcatcher is based on the novel Peter and the Starcatchers, a New York Times bestseller written by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. The play features music by music by Drama Desk Award-winner and Tony Award-nominee Wayne Barker. Described as a grown-ups prequel to Peter Pan, Peter and the Starcatcher provides answers to many century-old questions about the origins of its titular character, and explains exactly how Peter Pan became the boy who never grew up. Although Peter and the Starcatcher is suitable for all ages, it is directed specifically for adults and young people over the age of 10. In addition to his financial endeavors and Broadway involvement, Mr. Wirth completes this coming May his MFA in Creative Writing. Mr. Wirth will be awarded the degree from Manhattanville College in Purchase New York. The comprehensive courses span the spectrum of writing non fiction,fiction, screen plays and poetry.
