Step 1- open control panel

Step 2- click on clock, language and region setting

Step 3- click on change keyboard and input methods setting button

Step 4- click on change key board tab,

Step 5- click on Add if you do not have Amharic on the list in the left side menu.

Step 6- select Amharic from the list and click okay,

Step 7- close every window by

clicking ok button

Step 8- whenever you want to type Amharic, switch the active keyboard input language
to Amharic by clicking on language bar.
