This article was about Charlemagnes political life and all that he did and what he tried to do. the
author felt very highly of Charlemagne and wanted to share how amazing his empire was

Christian History Institue,n.d.Web 29 Sept.2014
this article was about his personal life and his political life. The author was a noble so he always
spoke about Charlemagne as an amazing person. This was important because he was there during
his major life event and can tell me how they felt doing certain things.
Wilson, Derek. Charlemagne. New York: Doubleday, 2006. Print.
The book was particularly helpful because It gives a detailed life of Charlemagne and all that he
did and what he passed on to his children and a family perspective. The author often refers to
him as a hero and wrote the book looking up to him. This was a good source because the author
is a top class historian and knows a lot about the specific time period.
"Middle Ages, A History of the European." Middle Ages, A History of the European.N.p, Jan.
2007. Web. 30 Sept. 2014.
In this article the main Idea is the middle ages as a whole and it described the influences of the
Frankish empire on all of medieval Europe and the church which Charlemagne was closely
related to. The article was written from a neutral standpoint and doesnt like Charlemagne but
doesnt hate him. This was a good source because it shows his particular effect of all of Europe.
Freedman, Paul. "Intellectuals and the Court of Charlemagne." 7 Jan. 2015. Lecture.
I chose this lecture because it was a college level information so it would all be all new to me.
this was alos the onppertunity to learn more abotu the rest of the midlle ages and the types of
governamnets and politics. Europe at this time period has always interesting.

This image I chose because i believed it showed what i needed it to show. It was the approitate
image because i liked and it was the most accurate. this image shows what his empire looked like
and how big it was.
Medieval University. Digital image. N.p., n.d. Web.
this image in particular showed what the schools were like and who would be there. the image
show what kind of people went to school and what format it was. this was mainly showing them
all with their books and in a church like building.
School Books. Digital image. Redlands School Zone, 2010. Web.
this image I just liked because it shows the symbol of learning and school. The school books
shows learning and what it looks like. Many of the books are larger maybe the bible.
Charlemagne. Digital image. Charlemagne. History, n.d. Web.
this image shows charlemagne next to a city. It show a church and that was one of his goals to
improve on in his empire. charlemagne is also larger as if he is in charge.
Saxon War. Digital image. History Wars. History Wars Weapons, 18 Feb. 2009. Web.
The section on this was on military might and a picture of a medieval battle would fit in
perfectly. The picture is of the battle of the saxons and charlemagne hated the saxons.
Many of the people are wearing the armor that would be worn during that time period so i
think the picture fits perfectly.
