Honors Earth and Envi. Science Post Reflection

1. Describe yourself as a student in Mr. Dillmans class. Are you happy with your performance?
Yes, I am happy with my grades in this class. I feel as though I was able to work at a good pace to
maintain them.
2. Describe the strategies you used this semester to meet your academic goals in the class.
The online notebook really helped maintaining my grades. I enjoy not having so much paper or not
having to keep up with a notebook. Edmodo was also a good reference for knowing the criteria for each
notebook check and being able to save the PowerPoints so I was able to refer to them later was a big help
too.
3. Describe 3 aspects of the class that you liked
I REALLY enjoyed the online notebooks! I appreciated how Mr. Dillman went over and explained the
PowerPoints thoroughly and went over all of the paper homework.
4. Describe 3 aspect of the class that you did NOT like
The only thing I did NOT like about the class was the period before NOT charging my laptop. It was
dead almost every day. Other than that, thumbs up Mr. Dillman!
5. Were there any aspects of the class caused you to struggle academically? If so, which ones?
No, to my knowledge I kept up with everything pretty well.
6. Did you like the aspect of completing an online virtual notebook instead of a physical notebook? If so, why?
If not, why?
Yes, to me it was easier to maintain and it was much more fun and a new experience.
7. What improvements do you think could be made to the online virtual notebook that would make that aspect
of the class better?
I think the online virtual notebook is great just as is. At first it was really annoying to try and figure out,
but once I got the hang of it I loved it!
8. If you could give advice to future Honors Earth and Envi. Science students taking Mr. Dillmans class what 3
pieces of advice would you give?
To ALWAYS pay attention during lectures and explaining of PowerPoints! Sometimes extra information
can be typed into the notes section. DO USA Test prep! I know its annoying, but its extra credit and
worth it! And last, but not least is just do your best because Mr. Dillman makes it impossible to fail this
class and he teaches in a fun way.
9. If you could go back and do things differently in Mr. Dillmans Honors Earth and Env. Science class what
would you do differently?
Probably nothing. Everything in that class was a learning experience. I learned how to be more organized
and took a lot of valuable information from the class, so much so I am considering pursuing a career in
weather.
10. Any other advice for Mr. Dillman in teaching this class in future semesters?
Just keep doing what youre doing, Mr. Dillman! You are a great teacher and there was never a boring
moment in your class!!
