1. Computer

A programmable machine.

2. Desktop

In a graphical user, a desktop is the metaphor


used to portray file systems. Such a desktop
consists of icons that show cabinets, files, folders.
And various types of documents (letters, pictures,
reports.)

3. Icon

A small picture that represents an object or


program.

4. Shortcut

Computer means a programmable machine.


Computers respond to a specific set of
instructions in a well-defined manner and execute
pre-recorded instructions.

It shows open windows and lets you open new


windows.

On a computer that a use a desktop GUI,


wallpaper is the monitor pattern or picture or
other graphic representation that forms the

Computer hardware refers to objects that you can


actually touch, like disks, disk drives, display
screens, keyboards printer, boards and chips.

Software is computer data or instructions, things


that one cant see such as programs.
