Min. GPA to transfer to MSU is 2.0
Must have a min. GPA of 3.0 to enter
the Pre-Vet Program.
Scholarships can offset the cost too,
and Im going to apply for the ones

To get admitted into the class to
get your DVM, you must attend
2-4 years of Pre-Vet and then
you can apply for the Veterinary
class and attend for about 4
years. It can take 6 to 8 years to
complete.

2 years at NMC

Total = $154,614.6
(Both schools academics combined)

Housing
MSU requires all freshmen to live on
campus theyre first year. They have
different options of
housing.
Undergraduate Halls (Includes
heat, water, electric, tv, internet and trash
removal.)

Permanent single rooms = $820 per

Most housing includes a meal plan per
semester. Allows for different amounts to
be spent, allows different times you can
buy food, where you can buy your food.

College Degree VS. High School Diploma

Average amount for a Veterinarian is around
$84,460 per year from the median pay of 2012.
They can make around $40.61 per hour (Bureau of
Labor & Statistics).

Annual average salary per year is about

$30,000 (median earnings in 2012) with people who
have a high school diploma or something
equivalent to a high school diploma. (Institute

Start- Up Cost

The start up costs of a Veterinary Clinic all vary in different

amounts, like location, how big or how small the building is,
and how many employees you have.
I know someone whom sometimes builds a lot and has knowledge of
start- up costs for business. He had said To set up a small building
and to have the supplies, it could cost from $300,000 - $400,00.

From Dr. Chris Bern, a Veterinarian who runs a blog that you can
ask him questions states that a small, simple, full-service veterinary
practice needs around $200,000-300,000 to begin...So adding
education and start-up costs, you're looking at having around $300k400k of loans to pay back. (Bern)

Student & Small Business Loans

A student loan is a loan taken
out for strictly educational
purposes, and is payed back
in amounts over time with
interest. Most student loans
are from the college and
funded from the government,
and you are allowed to make
your own payment methods
and how much at a time.

Small Business Loans: There are different

kinds of loans you can get for a small
business, like secured and unsecured loans.
Most have interest rates. Business owners
should also have a plan written, credit report
is updated and has good credit. Classes
offered for how to take care of a loan.
Unsecured means you have good credit
and a good business track record.
Secured means you have to put
something up for collateral, and which
that it would be taken if you cannot repay
the loan.
