    Dear Senator,
    I am writing in regards to SB 254. If passed SB 254 would reduce the benefit to police
    survivors of Line of Duty Deaths (LODD) from $58,000 to $50,000.
    We find that any reduction of benefits to the family of an officer that has made the supreme
    sacrifice is unconscionable.
    The leadership of the WV State Lodge Fraternal Order of Police has stated that they are strongly
    opposed to this legislation. I, as a member, or friend of the Fraternal Order of Police would
    also like to express my opposition to this proposed legislation. I urge you to vote against this
    legislation.
