Instructions: Read the material provided in the lesson. Answer the questions below.
1. What might the ghost mean when he says he is Brutuss evil spirit? Choose one option (or come up with a new one) and
explain your answer in detail. Brutus is evil for killing Caesar because he believed Cassius that Caesar was the one who
corrupted the republic.

4. After learning the events of the entire story, put your opinion about Brutus here. Was he a betrayer or a patriot? Explain your
answer using at least three examples from the play. Refer to your Traitor or Patriot chart for examples.
He was a patriot but he was manipulated by Cassius to do evil decisions such as killing Caesar. Right before Caesar dies he
says Et tu Brute, then Caesar fall. Caesar would never die if Cassius never controlled Brutus. He was looking to the best
interest of Rome. He didnt know what to do so he believed that Caesar would become a dictator based on what Cassius told
him. Since Caesar in Act 1 decline the crown he knew that he declined it because he didnt want to look eager in front of
everyone. He believed J.C. was too ambitious for his own good
