Dr. Radhakrishnan, our esteemed Alumnus is the present chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO).
In 2014, Dr. Radhakrishnan received the Padma Bhushan Award for his contribution to Science and Engineering,
especially in the field of Space Science and Technology
Dr. Radhakrishnan was born on 29 August, 1949 at Irinjalakuda in Thrissur District, Kerala. After his studies from
Christ College, Irinjalakuda, he completed his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1970 from the Government
Engineering College, Thrissur. He started his career in the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) as an
Avionics Engineer at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Trivandrum, in 1971.
He is also an alumnus of IIM(B) of the PGP batch 1976. He was awarded Doctorate for his thesis titled Some
Strategies for Indian Earth Observation System from IIT Kharagpur (2000)
Dr. Radhakrishnan is a Carnatic Music and Kathakali enthusiast. He has excelled in music, dance and other art forms
during his educational period. He himself has given vocal stage performances.

Ravindranathan T.G,Class of 1969, Actor/Industrialist, Suntec Tyres Limited

T. G. Ravindranathan, popularly known as T. G. Ravi is a Malayalam film actor. He graduated inMechanical
Engineering in 1969 from Govt Engineering College Thrissur. Apart from involving in theatre arts, he also represented
the University of Kerala in Football andHockey. He was an artist at The All India Radio where he met Thikkodiyan,
who was instrumental in introducing him to the silver screen.
He is a noted industrialist and has been instrumental in developing Thrissur as a major base for the rubber based
industries. He is the Managing Director of Suntec Tyres Limited. He has also served as the president of The Cochin
Devaswom Board which controls the affairs of over 400 temples in Ernakulam, Thrissur and Palakkad districts
