John Burke, Founder, True Ventures
John is a founder of True Ventures, with a passion in early stage investing and growing companies.
For eight years, he lived through the balancing act of building his own company at BMI Software,
which he founded in 1989 and sold in 1997. Before founding True, John was a Managing Member
with Blacksmith Capital. Having lived through the tough decisions required in entrepreneurship,
John is now able to guide his portfolio companies through the difficult times with a deftness that
only those years of operating experience bring. John holds a BS degree in Mechanical
Engineering from U.C. Berkeley, a BA degree in Economics from U.C. Santa Cruz, and a MBA
degree from Harvard Business School.

Rabia Garib, Chief Wrapper, ToffeeTV.com

Rabia is the Chief Wrapper at ToffeeTV.com, a digital initiative for Urdu songs, stories and activities
for kids. She co-founded the company with Talea Zafar and together they lead a team to produce
high-demand, high-volume animated content for a young, global audience. She previously served
as the Editor-in Chief of CIO magazine in Pakistan and produced several tech-specific television
programs. Based on her experience in technology trade media, she was selected as an Eisenhower
Fellow in 2007 and Newsweek Pakistan later named her among 100 Women Who Matter. She recently authored a book about Pakistani entrepreneurs in Silicon Valley, commissioned by InfoTech
(Pvt) Ltd and due to be out in the market by late February 2015.

Augie Rakow, Lawyer for Startups, Orrick

Augie Rakow advises startups and investors building the future of how we live and work. He
studied theological history at Harvard University before becoming a lawyer and is one of the few
Americans who has taken the Japanese bar exam. He also worked for many years in intellectual
property before focusing on startup corporate work. Super Lawyers magazine named him a Rising
Star, an honor reserved for no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in California.

Ovidiu Bujorean, Senior Manager of Entrepreneurship & Innovation, CRDF Global
Ovidiu manages entrepreneurship and innovation programs at CRDF Global. He built a network of global
partnerships with like-minded organizations such as MIT Enterprise Forum, Startup Malaysia, TOBB/
Tepav, infoDev and Microsoft, as well as attracted the support of globally recognized entrepreneurs and
investors such as Jeff Hoffman, Co-founder and former CEO of Priceline, Nolan Bushnell,
Co-founder of Atari, and Ali Sabanci, Chairman of Pegasus Airlines. He was Senior Associate at Rudyard
Partners, a private equity firm focused on investing in consumer technologies. Ovidiu founded
LEADERS, an organization that impacted the lives of 10K+ young leaders and entrepreneurs in Romania
and Southern-Eastern Europe. He is a graduate of the MIT Sloan School of Management (MBA) and
Harvards Kennedy School (MPA).
