Return to TT-33

Unload the pistol and remove the magazine. Located under the muzzle is a stud attached to the recoil spring. Push this in, and slide
the locking ring to the side.

Holding on the recoil spring, remove the locking ring.

On the right hand side of the frame is a catch that holds the "slide release" in place. Slide it back to free the "slide release"

The slide release can now be pulled out. You can see that I didn't start the disassembly in the correct order, if you let the slide go any
further forward the recoil spring will "pop" out and you risk deforming it.

The barrel can now be pulled out of the front of the slide.

The TT-33 in all it's major bits. Note the seperate trigger assembly unique to the TT-33

A comparison of the barrels of the Browning clones and the barrel of the Browning P-35(b)
Top: TT-33 (to ease production, Tokarev decided to machine the locking rings all the way around the barrel)
Middle: Radom P-35(p)
Bottom Browning P-35(b)
