a. What does upload mean?
b. What does download mean?
a.

Facebook also it means where you wont to upload a status or something on to a social
network or on the internet

1. What is the most common method used to compress a file? What is the most
popular program used to achieve this?
2. Zip compression is the most commonly used form of compression for simple
files. If they need to break up the compressed file into multiple parts (as they
used to do before High Speed Internet was the thing) .rar was used as the most
popular compression/file splitting format.
2. What are the advantages of using online software packages?
a) A key advantage to web-based software is that all your data is centralized ... Whenever you
use our products you're always using the latest and greatest version.
B) Advantage:
Flexibility - You are not attached to any device to get what you need
Backup - Your files should be secured online
C) You can have your information wherever is internet. You do not need other but a computer
with internet to see your information.,
Disadvantages: Most of the services offers only about 2 gig of free storage. Most of the services if you
want to use the free services its upload speed and its download speed is too slow. You need to pay
for better services.
3. How does an automatic backup work? When you set up the application, you
enter a name for your device and select the specific content types or locations
that you want to back up. Automatic backup is turned on when you select at
least one file when setting up the backup.
4. Content Anywhere backs up the whole content of a folder or library, including all
the files,
subfolders, and files that are in the subfolders.
Some system or hidden files that contain metadata are also included in the backup. The files
are added in random order.
When automatic backup is turned on and you have selected the content types to back up,
Content Anywhere automatically backs up the files in the background.
All changes to the backed-up files are synchronized to the cloud immediately The speed and
duration of transferring files depends on the file size, network use, and available resources on
the host operating system. If you add a large number of files or a large amount of data, it may
slow down your device. The first-time synchronization, which occurs when you log in for the
first time, can take some time.

Version Control:
A version control system (also known as a Revision Control System) is a
repository of files, often the files for the source code of computer programs,
with monitored access. Every change made to the source is tracked, along with
who made the change, why they made it, and references to problems fixed, or
enhancements introduced, by the change

Locked:
Locked When a document
is locked, you wont be able
to open it. It will only become
unlocked once no users are
accessing the document.
File Permissions: The system administrator within an organization can control the

levels of access users

groups of documents by using ! le permissions . Some users may only be able to
read documents but not edit them. Other users may be allowed to read and edit
documents some may be allowed to add new documents and some will be allowed to

delete documents.

Permission
general users just find things like, Security
settings, permissions, user groups and access
denied messages and warnings frustrating and
very intimidating. all this security stuff is forcing
users to either understand (learn) the concepts of
windows privileges
The College recognizes that there are a number of
reasons why students might wish to record
lectures and other teaching sessions in order to
support their learning. The College also
recognizes that copyright in the lectures and other
teaching sessions reside with the teacher
responsible for the teaching session, and that
privacy matters of the teacher and students are
affected by recording teaching sessions since their
personality, behaviour and opinions will be open,
and potentially freely accessible.

a. What is a common format for compressing files
There are various compression formats, but many of them can be obscure. Let's review many of those
formatsthat way, you can make an informed decision when you're creating your archives.
b. what are the advantages of online documents?
Backing up your data isnt always cheap, especially when you factor in the cost of any
equipment needed to do so think external hard drives or backup tapes. Additionally, there is
the cost of the time it takes to manually complete routine backups. Online storage services
reduce much of the cost associated with traditional backup methods, providing ample storage
space in the cloud for a low monthly fee
c. what are the disadvantages of online documents?
The disadvantages of online storage on cloud-storage servers is that you have to be within a
network area to access your files. You cannot access the files when in a remote area, as you
can if files are stored locally on a drive. Also, you have to pay for online storage, after the
meager free data limit.
