ery tank that contains a Class I, Class HI, or Glass HA iquid
shall be provided with means to prevent an accidental release
of liqud from endangering important facilities and adjoining
propeny or fromreaching vaterways, Such means shall meet the
requirements of 2.11.1, 2.11.2, 22.11.3, or 22.114, whichever is
applicable.
22.1.1 Remote Impounding. Wheie control of spills is pro-
vided by drainage to aremmote impounding area so that spilled
liquid does not collect around tanks, the requirements of
22.1111 through 22.11.14 shall apply.
22.11.11 The drainage toute shall have a slope of not less
than I percent away from the tank for at least 50 ft (15 m)
toward the impounding aca.
22.11.12 The impounding area shall have a capacity not less
than that of the largest tank that drains into it,
