Winter Warmies Drive

Thanks everyone, for your donations to the
Winter Warmies for the children. We had a
pretty good haul!

This is my go to tool kit. The pill case

comes from Walmart in the travel accessories, approx $1. It is small, so it fits in the
smallest knitting bag and has everything I
need!!

Are you like me and push your

loop
off the needle with your finger? Over
time your finger hurts!! These little
sticky pads are great!

I use old (used) dryer

sheets to keep moths

out of my stash - I put
a few drops of peppermint or lavender essential oils on them and
layer them between yarns and
fleeces.

Instead of throwing away those empty plastic

coffee cans, or similar container, use them for

your yarn holder. Wash the can and lid well.
Use a hole punch to make a hole
in the plastic lid. The hole does not
have to be in the middle. About
an inch in from the edge works fine. This is excellent for balled yarn
and smaller skeins. It keeps the
yarn clean and you can slip your hook inside
when not working on this project.

Try using the plastic tabs from your store-bought

bread for yarn bobbins! When I have a long tail

hanging from the cast on, I wrap the yarn around
the tab and it holds perfectly until Im ready to
weave in the ends. Voila!
