3-CUP MATCH

1. Kjekstad (Low HC)

2. Reid (Medium HC)

3. Collins (High HC)

All players who sign up will be put in order of low to high HC.
The low 1/3 will be entered in the Kjekstad trophy, the middle 1/3 will be
entered in the Reid Trophy and the high 1/3 will be entered in the Collins
Trophy.
The format is a Match Play Straight Knock Out competition.
The charge is $2.50 per golfer.
The winner in each flight will receive $25.00 Credit.
The second place winner in each flight will receive $15.00 Credit.

CRAIG RENCHER TROPHY

Craig Rencher was a former golf


professional at Arbutus Ridge Golf
Club.
This is a trophy in his honour.
The game format is a Two-Man,
One Day Team Stroke Play Best
Ball from the Red Tees
competition.
Teams are selected at random
from those who sign up.
The $2.50 charge per golfer (Less
$20.00 for KPs) will be awarded in
Credit Points to the First, Second,
and Third place teams.
The winning team will receive the
trophy.

SENIOR & SUPER SENIOR

There are 4 trophies in 2 categories.


All who sign up will be listed in order of age (youngest to oldest)
The youngest half will make up the Senior category.
The oldest half will make up the Super Senior category.
The game format is a One Day Stroke Play competition.
Each category will have a Low Gross Score Winner and a Low Net Score
Winner.
Each winner will receive the designated trophy
The $2.50 charge per golfer (Less $20.00 for KPs) will be awarded in Credit
Points to the First and Second place in each category.

MENS LOW NET CHAMPIONSHIP

The format is a One Day Stroke


Play Based on Net Scores
competition.
There is a $2.50 charge per
golfer(Less $20.00 for KPs) will be
awarded in Credit Points to the First,
Second and Third Place winners.
The best net score determines the
winner who will receive the trophy.

CHALLENGE OF THE PROVINCES

The format is a One Day Team Stroke


Play Based on Net Scores
competition.
A player signs up under the Province
of his birth, BC, Alta, Sask., Man.,
Ont., the rest of Canada and World.
Each team must have at least 8
players.
The eight best net scores will
determine the Provinces Team score.
The $2.50 charge per golfer (Less
$20.00 for KPs) will be awarded in
Credit Points to each golfer on the
winning team.

CAPTAINS CUP

The format is a Two Day Team Match


Play Based on Net Scores
competition. (Our version of the Ryder
Cup)
Everyone who signs up will be listed from
low to high HC
The first person on the list will be on the
Captains Team (Red).
The second person on the list will be on
the Challengers Team (White) and so
forth.
The team captains will select alternately
who plays against whom ( i.e. one Red
vs. one White)
Day One 18 Hole Match Play
Day Two New Red vs. White Teams will
be set up and a different format of a
game will be designated
A win by a golfer will be 2 points for his
team. A tie (All square) will be 1 point
for each player and his team.
Only the wining team will receive the
trophy.
The $2.50 per golfer will go towards
FREE BEER or WINE for all participants.
Any overage will be paid for by the Mens
Club.

BATTLE OF THE BLOCKS

The format is a One Day Team competition.

There are 12 residential blocks in Arbutus Ridge.

Each will try to form a team of at least 8 golfers.

Blocks with fewer team members will be combined into teams with at least 8
golfers.

Each golfer will record their net score for 18 holes.

The total of the 6 best net scores on a team will determine the team score

The team with the best score wins.

The $2.50 per golfer (Less $20.00 for KPs) will be awarded in Credit Points to
each golfer on the winning team.

ALPINE CUP

Year long team play garners points for


individual team members based on the
standing of the teams at end of the
round of golf.
The 20 highest point earners play off in
the last 4 weeks of play.
The more times you play the greater
the opportunity to get more points.

CAPTAINS PUTTER

The format is A Putting Straight


Knock-Out Match Play competition
2 golfers compete on the practice
putting green
18 holes are played
Play goes around clockwise through 9
holes, then counter clockwise through
the same 9 holes.
A coin toss decides who putts first on
the first hole.
The first putter on each hole
determines from where to putt.
After the first hole, the players will
alternate being the first to putt
regardless if you win, lose or tie a hole.
As in Match Play, you can concede your
opponents putt.
Fee $1.00
The Winner receives
$25.00 Credit
plus trophy
The Runner-up receives
$15.00
Credit
