ISRAEL BUSINESS GROUP

Descriptions of Executive Board Positions

Mission: The Israel Business Group develops and fosters the future economic relationship
between American business minded students and the Israeli economy. Through a
comprehensive development program, members will lead the next generation of American
business people and create a sustainable and substantive connection with Israel.

PRESIDENT: Oversees programming and business development. Responsible for


assisting in plans for programs and establishing strong educational material
regarding Israels business culture, Israels economy, and Israels stock exchange.
DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMING: Oversees programming. Responsible for planning,
attending and auditing programming. Additional external responsibilities include
compiling and coordinating material updates to be submitted to Nationals for
distribution among chapters.

DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Oversees business development.


Responsible for building networks with local community contacts (foundations,
Federations and individuals) to write grants and otherwise sequester local funds for
campus-specific operating expenses and Fellowships for students. Additional
external responsibilities include compiling and coordinating business development
and grant information to be submitted to Nationals for distribution among chapters.
VP OF MARKETING: Responsible for campus publicity of events and local
publicity/news coordination. Responsible for coordinating videoing and
photographing Israel Business Group events and posting content to a Israel
Business Group Facebook/Twitter account, YouTube channel, and other outlets of
social media. This person should be creative, ambitious, and able to manage
projects well.
VP OF FINANCE: Will work closely with Director of Business Development for
campus specific fundraising and to apply for large grants. Will be frequently in
contact with business leaders and therefore should be confident, outgoing
individual, with strong writing skills. Responsible for coordinating annual
membership fundraising campaign.
SECRETARY: Will be responsible for taking notes at each meeting, managing a
database of Israeli firms, scheduling and maintaining decorum at meetings, drafting
agendas, and maintaining organizations paperwork. This position is especially
important as we need strong documentation to send to Nationals in order to
become an official TAMID chapter.
TREASURER: Will be responsible for managing the organizations financial,
fundraising, and marketing operations. Will work closely with the Director of
Business Development and VP of Finance. This officer will be the authorized active
member with access to the organizations financial account.

In order to continue our growth trajectory, we must bring in a group of
motivated, passionate, and dedicated leaders who will carry this organization
to new heights by one year from now. Why do you belong in this group? What

Israel Business Group and how would you plan to implement these goals? Be

Expected Commitment:
By submitting a complete application you realize that, if selected to join the
Israel Business Group, you will be making a commitment of at least 5 hours
per week. The commitment will include attending meetings, seminars, and
completing relevant work outside of meetings.
