INTRODUCTION

Operationofhighvoltageswitchgearsposeshighsafetyrisktotheoperator.Incidents
involvinghighvoltageswitchgearduringoperationandarcflashproducedduringfault
always end with serious injuries and fatalities. Operation of high voltage switchgear
remotelyisoneofthebestoptionsinordertoensuresafetyoftheoperators.

ARemoteControlPanelallowsausertooperate(open&close)circuitbreakerswithout
being in front of the switchgear. Installed at a distance away from the switchgear, it
helpstoimprovepersonnelsafetybyputtingoperatorsoutsidethearcflashboundary.
