Overview
Purpose

To give a summary of progress to date, the overall project situation and

sufficient information to ask for a Project Board decision on what to do next with
the project.
The Project Board uses the information in the End Stage Report to decide what
action to take with the project: approves the next stage, ask for a revised next
stage plan, amend the project scope or stop the project.

Contents

The End Stage Report should cover the following topics

Current Stage plan with all the actuals...............................................................................................2
Performance against stage tolerances...............................................................................................2
Project Plan outlook............................................................................................................................2
Business Case review.........................................................................................................................2
Risk Review........................................................................................................................................3
Project Issue situation.........................................................................................................................3
Quality Statistics.................................................................................................................................3
Project Managers report on any events that affected stage performance.........................................3

Advice

The report should clearly show stage performance against plan. Make sure
that any abnormal situations are described, together with their impact and that
any appointed Project Assurance roles agree with the report.
The report is produced as an output from Managing Stage Boundaries (SB)
and will contain information from the Stage plan and actuals, Updated Project
Plan, Risk Log, Lessons Learned Log, Quality Log, Issue Log, Exception
Report/Plan, Completed Work Packages data and sometimes from Next Stage
Plans.
