wholesome breakfast. After the workshop, 82% of the students who
took the post survey knew that they should have at least 3 food
groups, in comparison to the 41% of the students who took the presurvey. In regards to why breakfast is important, all the answers were
correct in the all-of-the-above question. In hindsight, we would have rephrased the question to have one correct answer because the question
was confusing to the students.

vegetables they should be consuming each day, therefore 80% of
children will be able to select at least 2 cups of fruit and 3 cups of
vegetables for each day. After the workshop, 84% of students who took

Our objective was that after learning which food items contain
calcium, and how it affects the body; 80% of children will be able to
correctly choose foods that contain calcium through playing a calcium
relay game. After the workshop 94% of the students who took the post
survey were able to provide examples of foods that contained calcium,
in comparison to the 41% of students who took the pre-survey. In
regards to the question about how many cups of milk that the students
should be consuming each day, there was only a 7% improvement in
the post-survey from the pre-survey. This is related to the fact that
there was not as much emphasis put on this topic, over the information
given in the calcium identification relay game.
