CRITICISM
DIFFERENCES
BETWEEN:
GULLIVERS
TRAVELERS VS.
GREAT
EXPECTATIONS

Introduction
The two stories
describes the
limitations of places
with different
characters.
The rising of the
characters in both of
the novels depends
on the merging of
various actions.

The Points of Differences

Reading Gullivers Travelers from any
point of the Novel will not lose the
interest in the whole raising of the
novel. Meanwhile reading Great
Expectations novel needs to read
form the beginning as the writer is
telling an ascending telling story.
The narrator of Gullivers Travelers
novel is not the key character of the
novel. Meanwhile the narrator of
Great Expectations is with two
phases; the first one is Pip telling is
journey in society classes, and the
second phase is expressing the
limitation of time and space.

The Points of Differences (con.)

Charles Dickens in Great Expectations
is speaking precisely about the places
in which Pip faces his situations.
Dickens is very clear about places and
descriptions. In Gullivers Travelers,
the author Jonathan is not interested
to stick with places, its a very open
sense for his novel.
In Great Expectations, Dickens is
telling an ascending story, which has
some common sense of future out
coming which the reader can expect.
Meanwhile in Gullivers Travelers
there is a fun spirit of un expected
actions the reader is eager to know
more about.
