THE RULES ARE FOR EVERYONES SAFETY


AND ARE TO BE FOLLOWED BY EVERYONE UNDER ALL
CIRCUMSTANCES!! IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR FEEL
SOMEONE IS UNAWARE OF THESE RULES, PLEASE BRING IT TO
THE ATTENTION OF ONE OF THE OFFICERS OR TECHS.
NO DRINKING OF ALCOHOL BEFORE OPERATING A TRACTOR.
RULES IN THIS RULEBOOK SUPERSEDE ALL OTHERS.

MISC RULES AND INFORMATION

TECHNICAL
l. All tractors are subject to engine teardowns at any time
$50.00 protest fee. A protest must be filled within a 15 min. period after the class is
complete. After a if tractor found illegal tractor will be dq.

Inspection
1. A dial caliper will be used to check valve size, bore size and stroke of engine.
1. Driver must remain seated and have control of the tractor at all times.
2. One hand must remain on steering at all times during pull.
3. No smoking while tractor is hooked to sled.
4. All tractor drivers must wear long pants regardless of fuel.

5. All tractor drivers will be required to wear a D.O.T. approved helmet during pull.

6. No opened toed shoes during operation of tractor during pull.
7. All drivers of alcohol fueled tractors must wear a fire suit with a min. SFI rating of 32A1.
8. All tractors must have foot rests and fenders and feet must remain on foot rest.
9. No unsportsmanlike or disorderly conduct will be tolerated.
10. All tractors must have working brakes.
11. Anyone who assaults, threatens to do bodily harm or causes a disturbance at any pull
sanctioned by
show me pulling will be barred from the remainder of the event. The person or persons
responsible for the
action will be issued a verbal warning and if another incident involving the same person
or persons
occurs, it will be grounds for permanent expulsions from the event.
Final decisions will be made by a majority of the rules committee and officers present at
the pull.
l 2. Driver can be of any age as long as they are able to reach the pedals and operate the
tractor on their clutches may be operated by a adult
own.
13. Taching tractors will not be tolerated near the spectators. This is to be done in the
designated area
only.
14. No fuel additives allowed. Any additives will be grounds for permanent
disqualification
from the event
15. Anyone walking must be outside white line except for 950# Stock Class.

operation of Pull
1. All decisions of track judge or flagman will be final!!
2. Tractor must come to a safe stop at signal of flagman.
3. The pull begins when the hook is placed in hitch and ends when hook is removed.
4. All pulls must start with a tight chain with no jerking.
5. Any loss of parts, Weights, excessive fluids, etc. will cause disqualification. If
mechanical problem

occurs, distance will be measured to that point.


6. First puller in each class has the option to decline first distance or return as last or third
puller, if you
7. Once pull has begun, no shifting of manual transmissions is allowed.
8. Any tractor not passing the 50 foot mark may make a second attempt, which will be
measured.
9. The sled operator has the option to kill any tractor he feels is out of control.
10. Any pull past the last stake is considered a full pull, unless a floating finish is used.
l1. All pullers must be ready to pull when called. Delay of more than 2 minutes will cause
that puller to
be the last puller of the class, then after 2 minutes, you are disqualified.
12. Anyone wishing to sign up or drop out may do so before or during the class starts.
13. If driver starts before green flag, the driver is disqualified.
l5. There will be an open gate, but there will he an orange cone to show where a pull off
will be
warranted.

All stock Tractors


1. All weights must be safely and securely attached to tractor. Not to extend behind rear
tire.
2. All tractors will be equipped with a kill switch engine and fuel pump.
3. Stock flywheels cannot be modified.
4. Steel flywheels and cast must be covered 360 degrees with a minimum 1/8 of steel or
3/16 aluminum.
5. All clutches must be covered 360 degrees with a minimum 1/8 of steel or 3/16
aluminum.
6. All pulleys and fiber connections must be covered by a minimum 1/8 of steel or 3/16
aluminum.
7. Any tractor over 4000 RPMs must have dead man throttle.

9.. All gas will not exceed .752 specific gravity.
10. All alcohol will not exceed .785 specific gravity.
11. No pressurized tanks, nitro methane or nitrous oxide, propylene oxide will be
allowed.
12. All hitches will be rigid, constructed of steel or aluminum (min. 1.750 opening and a
max height of 13 in).

13. Maximum tire size is 26 X 12 X 12.


14. Maximum length is 8 ft. from center of rear wheel to forward most point of tractor.
15. All tractors must be equipped with a tip over device that does not interfere with
operation of the
sled. Device must be a min. of 5 behind tire and max. of 5 above ground. See
specifications on last
page.
16. Maximum wheelbase will be 56.
17. Billet heads may be used on all tractors except stock.
18. Tractors may be teched at the discretion of the tech officer. Teching will consist of:
bore, stroke,
cubic inches, valve size and lift, head diameter and carburetor venturi.
19. Stock tractors are able to pull against stock altered tractors of the same HP and above.
20. Locked rear ends will pull in the stock altered classes.
21. Anything pulling as an exhibition has to be approved by sled operator and three
committee people.
22. Width maximum of 48 inches.
23. Tractor must have a 3inch rise back of seat.

CLASS RULES
950# and 1050# Stock Class 16 HP & Under
950# and1050# Stock10 and 12 HP
1. Chassis must originate from a stock garden tractor with a max Wheelbase of 56 and
have a hood
and grill resembling a stock garden tractor; Also, tractor should be equipped with a tipover device
capable of supporting the weight of the tractor.
2. Maximum of 1 cyl., air cooled flathead engine 4000 rpm.

3. Maximum .030 oversized piston.


4. Only O.E.M. or equivalent replacement parts may be used on engine.
5. porting or polishing allowed.
6. All factory shielding must be in place and engine side shield on oppisite sid of
camshaft attached to frame and head
7. Flywheel may be stock or steel.
8. 26 X 12 x 12 maximum size of tire. professional tire allowed
9. 13 maximum hitch height
10. All exhaust, if not of stock design, must exit vertically.
l1. Only gas with specific gravity of .752 or less will be allowed.
12. Decks must be removed.
13. performance modifications allowed.
14. Can run after market air filter, no velocity stacks or stand offs.
15. No fuel additives allowed.

1050# Stock Altered l2 HP& Under


1. Chassis rules same as stock class except tractor must be equipped with a kill switch
that turns off
both the ignition and electric fuel pump.
2. Engine must have a stock block, max. of 1.380 valves, max. of .030 oversized
piston, max of .330
valve lift, stock appearing carburetor with a max. of 1.200 venturi, and be of a 1 cyl.
Flathead, air
cooled design.
3. Velocity stacks are allowed & 1 stand off.
4. Electric fuel pumps are allowed but must be wired to the kill switch.
5. A fire extinguisher must meet club standards and be mounted on the tractor within easy
reach of the driver.
6. Steel flywheels are required for engines over 4500 RPMs.
7. No RPM limit.
8. Stock rear end housing must be used, but internal components may be changed.
9. Only gas with a specific gravity of .750 or less will be allowed.
10. 1 standoff of carburetor & Billet Head (Optional).
11. If running alcohol must have BC Fire Extinguisher and wear approved fire suit.

12. 12 HP stock altered can run either alcohol or gas.


13. No fuel additives allowed Any additives will be grounds for permanent
disqualification
from the club.
14. Head strap on all Stock altered tractors.
15. Motor side shield on starter side. 1/8 steel or 3/16 aluminum.
1050# Stock25HP and Under
1150# Stock25HP and Under
l. Same rules as stock class, except 2 cylinder engine allowed, overhead valves allowed.
2. 25HP class can run 4500 RPMs.
Professional tires are allowed in the Stock Twin classes.
Must be of factory engine type Kohler or Briggs. No fuel injection, stroker kits or
overhead cams.
Stock head must be of factory engine type Kohler on Kohler, Briggs on Briggs, etc. No
head plates
are allowed. Porting and polishing is allowed.
Camshafts stock lift
Clean up on top of block can be done.
Spark plug to remain in the stock location.
Air cleaner or velocity stack can be used.
Gas specific gravity .752 may be used. No pressurized fuel tanks.
A fire extinguisher must be mounted on the tractor.
Tractor must have a garden tractor rear end. Locked rear end is allowed.
Shields must be placed over moving parts such as: gears, pulleys or chains.
