Sun, some sand and other things

Our trip to Cape Town, South Africa was quite
interesting. As we shared last letter, May's mother has
aged a lot in the past few month and the family was
reporting that her health was declining. It seems Mom's
body is slowly shutting down. She is essentially only
having liquids, and small amounts at that. While her
mind is sharp (she still beats Dileep in games of
dominos) we notice that she is much slower, and more frail. It was difficult seeing her like
this and dealing with several issues relating to her
proper care.

We were generously loaned a car from our brother

in-law, which was a huge blessing. Just to make life
more interesting, a branch fell on the car while parked
outside the house. The windshield was smashed, along
with a dent on a
front fender. At that
point in time, we
were stunned - we
were experiencing a
lot of spiritual
oppression.
Thankfully the
branch only fell on a
car and didn't injure someone. Despite everything, we did see God at work too. It was
great to see some friends and family.

Thank you to our friends who helped so much. Sorry if we missed you in Cape Town, but
we had to focus on family. Next time .... Amidst the busyness and stress, we found a few
hours to sun bathe on a beach here and there, but
overall we were emotionally exhausted by the time we
got home mid January.
Please continue to pray that:
May's mom will be comfortable and have
everything she needs
The Lord will strengthen the family and continue
to work in their lives

As you know, 2013 has already ramped up. Many things are on the calendar and deadlines
are approaching. Typically January is reasonably quiet and then things ramps up, fast and
hard right through to the end of the year. While our travel schedule and international
ministry is 'obvious' most of our work and efforts are behind the scenes at the office. As
the ministry of OM Arts matures and settles we are entering into a phase of being very
strategic in what we do. Dileep has a busy travel schedule at least four or five international
trips covering seven to nine different international ministry events. We are needing to raise
additional funds to stabilise our support, fund ministry trips and so that May can go on at
least one field trip this year.
28 Feb - 9 Mar: ILM, Thailand
9 Mar - 21 Mar: MV Logos Hope (sailing from Bangkok to Hong Kong)
2 Apr - 9 Apr: Dileep's dad and wife visiting / vacation
1 May - 7 May: Strategic Arts Leadership Training, UK
8 May - 11 May: Art Forum, Germany
8 May - 22 May: Bill Drake Band Tour, Germany
See our full 2013 schedule.

ILM to MV Logos Hope

Every year the senior leadership of OM meet at the International Leaders Meetings. It is a
time of refreshment, teaching, business and networking. This year Dileep, along with boss
Bill Drake and several colleagues will form the music team. Time to dust off the bass! The
ILM has proven to be strategic in furthering the understanding and growth of arts ministry
in OM. This is a special ILM as Peter Maiden looks towards handing over the International
Director role to someone new. All we can say right now is that we are excited about the
nominee and his vision for the future of OM's ministry.

After the ILM we (the band) have been

invited aboard the MV Logos Hope to
conduct arts training. We will sail with
the ship from Bangkok to Hong Kong.
May is envious that Dileep gets to visit
the ship for a third time AND sail. I
(Dileep) am looking forward to seeing
old friends, making new ones and investing into people on board.
May will remain at home and continue work on several critical administrative projects.
Please pray:
for Dileep to get back into a music groove
for the ILM itself and 'arts' related conversations
for the time on the ship to be fruitful in God's economy
May as she remains at home

The ministry of OM Arts can be summed up as follows:

dozen countries.

developing and refining training modules; planning short term team ministry; coaching and
helping long term artists; developing and refining our systems so we can work smarter.
Many times it feels like juggling many items - there is more to do than we have people or
resources to accomplish. Therefore we must throw ourselves on God's grace and leading.
Please pray for:
continued strengthening of our team
our new revamped leadership structure
finances to fund the ministry and team members personal support
that we would only pursue what God wants us to pursue
