Las Vegas, Nevada The UFC will return to Boston on Sunday, Jan. 18 with a stacked card that
features an international flair befitting the citys cultural history, as Irish sensation and fifth-ranked
featherweight contender The Notorious Conor McGregor will face Russian knockout artist Dennis
Siver in a headlining bout that could determine the next 145-pound title challenger.
McGregor (16-2, fighting out of Dublin, Ireland) has taken the sport by storm since making his
promotional debut in April of 2013. The charismatic Irishman has quickly climbed the ranks of the
featherweight division with an undefeated record in the UFC that includes three first-round knockouts. A
win over eighth-ranked Siver (22-9, 1NC, fighting out of Mannheim, Germany) will likely see him
rewarded with a title shot in 2015. To get past the 18-fight UFC veteran who has collected seven Fight
Night bonus awards along the way, McGregor will need to be firing on all cylinders.

In the co-main event, fans will see fifth-ranked Benson Smooth Henderson (21-4, fighting out of
Glendale, Ariz.) and No. 10 Eddie Alvarez (25-4, fighting out of Coconut Creek, Fla.) collide in a mustwin fight that will keep the winner in the hunt. Henderson, the former UFC and WEC lightweight
champion, has the ability to dominate the fight wherever it goes and hell need to use that versatility to
counter Alvarezs stellar boxing pedigree.
In addition, Cyprus Costa Philippou (13-4, 1NC, fighting out of Long Island, N.Y.) and The Ultimate
Fighter season 17 finalist Uriah Hall (10-4, fighting out of New York, N.Y.) will meet in a
middleweight rematch featuring two of the best strikers in the division. Fans can expect fireworks when
Philippou, who defeated Hall in 2011, and Prime Time, the proud owner of one of the most devastating
knockouts in the history of The Ultimate Fighter, collide in Boston.
Plus, No. 11 Jorge Masvidal (28-8, fighting out of Miami, Fla.) will look to add to his four-fight winning
streak when he meets The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes winner Norman Parke (21-2-1, fighting out
of Bushmills, Northern Ireland) in a lightweight battle.
Also scheduled for the card:
Bostons own John Howard (22-10, fighting out of Boston, Mass.) takes on Lorenz Larkin in a
battle of welterweight strikers.
Undefeated inside the Octagon, Boston native Cathal Pendred (15-3-1, fighting out of Dublin,
Ireland) meets fellow up and comer Sean Spencer (12-3, fighting out of Dallas, Texas) in a
welterweight tilt.
Flyweight submission specialists clash as Dublins Paddy Holohan (10-1-1, fighting out of
Dublin, Ireland) meets Shane Howell (13-8, fighting out of Oklahoma City, Okla.).
Massachusetts resident and Mark DellaGrotte-trained Tateki Matsuda (10-6, fighting out of
Somerville, Mass.) faces fellow flyweight prospect Joby Sanchez (6-1, fighting out of
Albuquerque, N.M.).
The Ultimate Fighter: China winner Zhang Lipeng meets high-powered wrestler Chris Wade
(8-1, fighting out of Islip, N.Y.) at lightweight.
The Ultimate Fighter season 19 finalist Matt Van Buren (7-3, fighting out of Chula Vista, Calif.)
takes on hard-hitting Sean OConnell (15-6, fighting out of Salt Lake City, Utah) in a light
heavyweight bout.
Undefeated lightweight Paul The Irish Dragon Felder (9-0, fighting out of Philadelphia, Pa.)
squares off against red-hot Johnny Case (19-4, fighting out of Jefferson, Iowa) in an exciting
matchup.
