Hello my name is Martin Edward Obodo. I am the founder of the

Aquapon Project. The Aquapon Project is setup to meet a number of
social needs which include..
- The need for clean, safe, affordable and healthy catfood
- The need to look after stray cats and
help them find loving safe homes
- The need to promote and increase biodiversity
- The need for vegetables and fruits to be produced locally
- Learning and Sharing Knowledge about Aquaponics and Organic
natural growing methods
This is the Spring Catalogue for Aquapon Gardens.
Aquapon Gardens are Gardens
which support the aims and objective on the Aquapon Project
If you grow in the Aquapon Gardens Enterprise you get to keep 50%
of the profits from the sale of your produce in the community produce
box

How does Aquapon Gardens Work?

Produce Vegetables, Fruit, Fish, Honey, Insects, Vermicompost, Worms,

Compost teas, Worm waste teas, Rhizotonic and Compost using
the growing systems inside the catalogue
We are trying to be creative and have as little limitation as possible
for the range of produce which will go towards the community boxes

Sell the produce in the community produce boxes

The growing systems will come at no cost to yourselves or Aquapon Project. Each home
entering the enterprise will be provided with a tailored crowdfund in order to purchase
the equipment necessary
One of the aims of the Aquapon project is to promote the idea of fundraising within the
community in order to grow the local economy.
All grow systems will be provided for by your neighbours and local community
We will help you to setup the crowdfund and even fundraise with you
If you are sturggling to fundraise we can step in but we need evidence you have done all
you can to obtain local help

Raised Beds
Aquapon Gardens has a range of Bespoke Raised
beds available for our growers
We try to source our timber and sleepers as locally
as possible

Fishplant Retro Fit Grow Bed Unit

The FishPlant Retro-Fit Grow Bed Unit is an easy to maintain
grow bed unit that allows for a FishPlant system to be run off
an established pond.
This unit comes with a plant bed, an inlet/drain fitting, an
overflow fitting, tubing, clay pebbles and a pump.

Garden Pond
The pond is vital part to any garden
Aquapon Gardens can create a bespoke pond in your garden
Its really important for British wildlife that gardeners do
their bit for aquatic life freshwater plants, insects,
amphibians and mammals all rely on our commitment.

Tank for Coldwater Fish

If you do not have the land or means for a pond.
Aquapon Gardens can provide moulded plastic or fibreglass
tanks for the raising of cold water fish

Compost Bin
Aquapon Gardens have number of Bespoke solution which
we can install to help you create compost
Soil creation is an essential part of permaculture and is one
of the cornerstones to a successfull garden
We have a soil incentive scheme. The member with the most
soil produced per quarter will recieve a cash bonus
We will aim to weigh your soil output on a monthly basis

Wormery
A Wormery is a box system that contains
composting worms that love to munch away
on kitchen wastes. The bi-products produced
consist of worm castings (worm poo or vermicompost) and Leachate (liquid fertilizer)
these are excellent feeds for your indoor and
outdoor plants.
Worm composting is an easy, convenient,
environmentally-friendly and efficient way
of turning your waste kitchen scraps into
high quality super-rich compost all the year
round. The compost, the worms produce, can
be mixed into the soil when introducing new
plants in the garden, added to houseplants
and containers or used a top dressing (mulch)
You will be able to produce wormcasts and
worm tea from this both can be sold and
both will provide you with a return on your
investment

Beehive

Inspired by nature, driven by science
Bumblebee Nest Box
In the design of the bumblebee box nearly everything has
been thought of, so I can really recommend it. This is one
of the very best bumblebee nest boxes I have ever seen. So
if you only prepare the nesting material properly you have
a pretty high chance to get a bumblebee nest in the hive.
But you also need to have nest searching bumblebee queens
in your area and place the box so the queens do find the

Ladybird House
Aquapon Gardens purchase Ladybird Houses from the
RSPB.
We also provide Ladybird friendly plants
and seeds which are designed to be planted around the box
These beautiful hard-coated insects, typically red with black
spots, are an important part of our ecosystem.
They are tremendous carnivores that can eat lots of significant agricultural pests, said Doug Taron, curator of biology
at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago.

Insect Log Cabin

Aquapon Gardens are able to install a range of insect log
cabins to promote bio diversity in your garden
Wildlife-friendly gardens are not only more interesting as
you can watch all the comings and goings, but they are often
more productive as many creatures will help increase pollination. Garden ponds act as a magnet to dragonflies and
damsel flies.

How the consultation will work?
You will be visited by a
representative of Aquapon Gardens.
This representative will assess the following:
- How much space you can provide
- How much growing knowledge / experience you have
- We will require at least 3 references to make sure that we are
able to agree to work with you ( We may require up to 10 )
- What types of Fruit, Vegetables, Fish and Worms you would like
to produce
- If you would like to be a customer for the community produce
box and if so how much you would be willing to purchase from us
per month and of in what quantity
- If you would like to make regular donation
to the Aquapon Project to help us improve our service
- If you would like to make your house available to house troubled
or stray cats on a temporary basis. Aquapon Project will provide
cat food so you can feed the cat.
All other aspects of stuarding the cat will your responsibility

The Community Produce Box FAQ

What if i want to eat all my produce and not sell any?
You must agree to provide all your produce into the comunity produce box. If you want to eat the produce it
must be bought. We do not see anything wrong with sampling produce for quality as you go however. But all
sampling must be recorded and logged.
Every action when working must be recorded and journalled
We have certain targets to meet. If you do not reach the targets you may be disqualified from the Aquaon
Homes enterprise
Whats the incentive?
You will be given a yearly bonus for each Kg produced and sold from the system. The more you sell the bigger the bonus. The grower with the most produce per quarter will recieve a cash bonus

What is the cost for the running of each system in electricity?

Each system varies. We will add the electrical price into your conultation and this will be re-assed on a quarterly basisi ( 4 times a year )
What happens if all my fish die?
We will replace your fish but only on the basis that you did your upmost to take care of them. We will not
reward irresponsible fish raisers
My plants are always looking sick, What do i do?
Ask us for a consult\tion and we will arrange a grower to see you
Is all this expensive equipment safe in my house?
If your concerned about safety we can offer you a security consultation.
We have a number of options available to make your grow more secure
What plants can i grow and what fish and worms can i raise with your growing systems?
This question will be answered at your initial consultation
Will i be able to discern between the hydropnic food the aquaponic food and the outdoor soil based food produced by the aquapon project?
Yes all foods will be labelled and you will be able to discern what is what and how it was grown
Is the food organic?
We only use organic growing methods. No un natural forms of herbicide, pesticde or fungicide will be used
