Classroom management is the system of


procedures, rules, and consequences that creates a
structured and organized consistent environment
for students to learn and be challenged.

-Every day, each class will earn points (via
the class temperature gauge) based on their
behavior and participation
-The class with the most and least amount
of points at the end of the nine weeks will
receive the following:
a.First Place: Movie and class party
b.Last place: Extra assignment

Procedures
1. Beginning of class:
-Students will enter the classroom silently and
sit at their desk.
-If a student missed class, he or she will
receive his or her work from the missing work
folders.
-Students will begin the bell ringer
immediately.
-Students should have all needed materials. If
they do not have a pencil, they can retrieve a
crayon from the crayon bucket.
-If a student finishes the bell ringer, he or she
will remain seated and silent.

2. Going to the bathroom:


-Students will be given three bathroom
passes every nine weeks.
-Students are responsible for keeping track of
their passes.
-To use the pass, the student will silently
place it on the corner of his or her desk and
wait for the teachers permission to leave.
-No pass = no bathroom
**Students may not go to the restroom in the
first or last ten minutes of class.
* *Students may not go to the restroom during
bell ringer, direct instruction, or notes.

2. Going to the bathroom:
-Students will NOT go to the restroom during
class unless they have permission from the
office or unless it is a severe emergency.

3. Missing Work:
-If a student misses class, it is his or her responsibility
to get the work he or she missed.
-At the beginning of class, the student will go to the
missing work folders, locate the folder for his or her
period, and retrieve the paper(s) with his or her name
on it.
Friday
-The work is due the following day for full credit.

4. Dismissal
-Students will not put away their things
until given permission.
-At the seven-minute bell, I will dismiss the
students who have to walk to the north
campus.
-The remaining students will continue
LOL
working and stay seated and silent.
-At the four-minute bell, I will dismiss the
remainder of the class by row.

Procedures
5. Good Things:
-Each Friday, I will allot five minutes at the
beginning of class for Good Things.
-Students will have the opportunity to share with
the class something good thats happened to
them recently once a week during the bell ringer
after writing a paragraph about it
-Only one student may speak at a time; students
must respect the speaker and his or her good
thing.
-Content must remain school appropriate.
-Purpose: To learn about my students and create a
positive, hopeful, and open classroom community
