What is quantizing? Putting beats together and then putting them
in time using different signatures.
What factors do you need to be aware of so you can record
audio? Making sure phantom power is on for the mic, making sure
keyboard is connected and set on preferences; Making sure speakers
are at a suitable level.
What are the different noise problems you might get when
recording audio, and what might you do to reduce them?Sound bleed in the room , etc people walking around and always
having headphones on when recording because the vocals will loose
their effect because the main tracks main level will be to high .
What effects have you used and why? (Both corrective e.g.EQ,
compression etc, and creative e.g. reverb, distortion etc).I have used effects such Delay and Reverb to create effects on the
vocals and the drums to create an atmospheric electronic sound ,
using panning automation also to make it balance and blend more.
Explain the main sections of the channel strip (inserts,
pan, volume etc). - Inserts are a series of boxes where you can
select different effects and plug-ins to change the sound and mix the
track.
How can a film composer use Logic?-Logic has an option called
Film Composing where you can have a film playing on a screen
while creating music to the video using the main template of Logic.
What is mixing, and how have you applied mixing
techniques within your project? Mixing Is the last part of
making the track, its when you change all of the levels effects and
timing of the track , using the channel strips and mixer at the bottom
of the page
