El_Gouna have 17 desalination plant with capacity 11000m3 /
d.
All use RO ( reverse osmosis ) technique .
7 units Brackish water supplied by wells in the mountain ( 3
km from el_gouna ) with TDS 6,000 8,000 ppm .
10 units sea water supplied by beach well with TDS 28,000 36,000 ppm .
El_Gouna takes about 500 m3 / d from hurghada pipe line for
worker drink and beverage

El_Gouna was needed to increase the capacity of the
desalination plants ( 500 1000 ) m 3 / d each year .
But due to the current condition wasn t happened in the
previous two years .
