To Whom It May Concern:

I am honored to write a letter of recommendation for Aubrey Staples. I have known Aubrey
for four years. As the guidance secretary, I have the opportunity to work with and get to know
several of our students. I also have the privilege to work with Aubrey in our Sterling Scholar
program. Aubrey is one of those students who truly stands out. She is goal oriented and very
ambitious when it comes to completing those goals.
Aubrey has been involved in many activities during high school. She has been very active in
FFA, serving as FFA reporter her junior year and secretary her senior year. She competed on the
National Parliamentary Procedure Team, placing fourth in the nation this past November. She has
served in many other capacities in FFA and is a valuable member of the FFA program. In addition
to the huge commitment to FFA, Aubrey is currently serving as the senior class graduation
chairman. She has also taken several college level classes while still maintaining an excelellent
GPA. She is a two-year member of National Honor Society, 5-year drumline particpant, and has
played softball throught her high school career. With her many talents and skills, she was selected
as the North Summit English Sterling Scholar where she will compete on a regional level in April.
Aubrey is a dedicated student and is committed to whatever activity she takes on. She is
extremely dependable and responsible. These traits combined with her determined attitude and
fun personality make her a unique candidate for any position she may be applying for.
Again, it is with great pleasure that I highly recommend Aubrey for your scholarship.
Sincerely,

Rhonda Butcher

Guidance Secretary

She has competed on a local level in extemporaneous and prepared public speaking and will
compete on a regional level later this year. North Summit Esonas drill team her junior year. She

several concurrent college courses. She has completed 18 semester hours of college credit in
addition to her regular high school classes. She continues to maintain a 3.0 GPA which includes
her college grades. Aside from school, Aubrey has been very active with community service. She

community this past Christmas. She also headed up the Stars and Stripes week after 9-11. This
